I walked into the kitchen. Kristin flipping pancakes and a plate is stacked high with bacon and pancakes. I wrap my arms around her and put my head on her shoulder.
"Hey babe." I say kissing her cheek. She jumps.
"God John you scared the shit out of me." Kristin says pushing on my chest knocking me back a little. I laugh.
"Sorry babe." I say and sit down at the table.
"Hungry?" She asks handing me a plate of pancakes and a few strips of Bacon on top. I start eating.
"So semi-state is next week." I say.
"Mmmhm." She nods.
"And usually on that Friday the guys and if they have a girlfriend we all go out to eat." She looks at me.
"Are you dropping hints of asking me to go with you?" She laughs.
"Yeah.." I say looking at her and grin.
"I would love to go with you John you could just come out and say it you know." She kisses my cheek as she walks by. The kids come down and start eating. Her parents take them out after lunch leaving and and Kristin alone for the day.
We end up going to the mall. I buy Kristen a few outfits and a bracelet. I get a new pair of Jordan's and jeans. She let's me drive to red Lobster to have dinner.
"So how do you feel about semi-state?" I ask. I shrug.
"We've only had one lost this season so I feel good about it. We finish the night by eating and then she takes me home. I kiss her by pushing her body against the brick of the apartment building. My hands find their way to her ass and I give it a squeeze. She squeals and slaps my arm but goes back to kissing me. I go inside and unlock the door going straight to bed.
