Chapter 6

Christina's PoV

It's already been a year since my mother passed away.

The pain is slowly dissipating as the emptiness is slowly being refilled by my grandmother's love.

Grandmother is really amazing. She stayed strong for me. She did grieved for my mother, but she never lingered for too long because she still need to take care of me. I might be older than my age but the wounds of my past life still haunts me till this day, it's the reason why the impact of losing someone important to me this time around is huge. It almost caused me to drowned myself on my own sorrows if not for my grandmother helping me.

She save me from myself.....

I missed my mother so much and still always longed for her touch, but I think she'll be more happy wherever she is, if I finally let this sorrow go.

Remembering might be hurtful, but I would never forget her.

I plan of enjoying my life from now on, but who would expect that....

My life now has its limit.

I can no longer do anything...

Not even help my grandmother....

I'm now a burden....

I'm useless again......

I can't do anything but continue to remain lying down on this bed....

Until my end....

Until I died....

My name is Christina Porch a ten years old girl that developed this incurable illness called "Maximum Mana".

It was a rare disease that only those people with huge Mana can have. Since my body can't handle the Mana nor can't I even used magic to release it, the Mana is wrecking havoc inside my body because it can no longer be contained inside.

My grandmother is confused because she always witnessed me using magic so why do I still have this kind of illness. Why am I having it.

I just remained silent as she argue with this mysterious man...

It's not like I can tell her....

That it wasn't me all along...

She won't believed it....

So I just remained silent.....

Until their arguments are over.....

For the passed few months, the illness brought me nothing but pain and sometimes caused me to have short breathing. I almost died three times in those passing months if not for that mysterious man saving me each time...

But everything has its end.

It's not like he can always save me all the time.

The mysterious man finally told my grandmother the most dreaded news.

My ending.

If another pain attack occurred again, that will be my end.

I won't make it anymore.

I'll die...

And leave her all alone behind...

That was the last straw for my grandmother before her strong upfront finally broke....
