One direction on a break, finally you thought. You were not used to have your father around. He would be around for a few months and then he would be gone, seeing the world.
To say that he has been a proper dad would be a lie, but somehow he has always been there for you. Just a call away. Your father has never see you having your bad days, you were always his sweet innocent baby girl. Your mother on the other hand knew the way you were, she had been through it all with you, from happy moments, bad attitude days to everything else. Your dad had never witnessed that, he was always away. When he was around, you made sure to be his little good girl. But being a teenager and trying hard to have a good attitude is not easy. After all the years you had never seen your dad pissed off, only irritated but never angry. There's a first time for everything. You were patiently waiting for you dad to arrive, your mum had been making food all day. There were at least fifteen dishes placed on the wood table. The whole family had already arrived. You were so excited to finally see your dad, and this time he would stay. He would stay longer for sure. He wouldn't leave you or your mum in a few months. He would actually be there for you. Both of you.
"Y/N, darling. Are you pleased with the long break your father is taking?" your grandma, Anne asked. You gave her a small smile.
"Of course nana. I cannot wait to see him." You said, the happiness was evident in your voice.
"The two of you can finally spend some quality time together." you nodded.Suddenly the door opened, you saw your father's brown curls and his beautiful white smile, no one could ever miss that. But the smile wasn't directed to you. It was directed to your mother. He brought her in for a long hug, he slowly rubbed her back and kissed her lips slowly.
"Hey baby, I missed you" he said and kissed her once again. Your mother was smiling brightly.
"Hey daddy!" you said trying to hug him. He gave you a weak hug before turning to his mother, also known as your grandma.Through out the night you felt very ignored, all attention was on your dad. You weren't even a part of them. You had just gotten your report card, you wanted to show it off to your father to make him proud and show him how you were his little girl, as always.
"Hey dad ... Would you want to see my report card?" you asked him softly as he stood in the kitchen all by himself.
"Uhm, not now Y/N" he said, coldness evident in his deep voice.
"I would want you to see it, it's pretty good" you mumbled, he took a deep breathe.
"Listen Y/N. I have heard all about your behavior towards your mother. I'm really disappointed, your grades will not make me being proud of you again. So could you please just leave me alone during the night at least." he said, harshly. You nodded with tears in your eyes, you slowly walked upstairs to your room. You knew that your attitude hadn't been perfect, but you also needed to fail sometimes. You would not be able to play this off in a cool way, you would start getting colder towards him and ignore him just as he ignored you, his once little girl. You slowly made your way downstairs, you were pleased with the shower you just had. You did not expect your parents to be home. Instead of saying anything, you made your way to the fridge.
"Morning, Y/N." your mother said, you didn't even bother looking. You just ignored her greeting.
"Good morning, Y/N" your father now said in a harsh tone. You turned your back and walked away.
"Do you see what I'm talking about? Her attitude is terrible" your mum complained. Your dad took a deep breath, in the corner of your eye you could see him bite his lip.
"Y/N. It is not polite to just walk away like that if someone greets you." you rolled your eyes, you did not bother with giving him an answer.
"Y/N ... What's the matter with you?" you heard him sigh. You couldn't deal with this right now, you ran up to your room. Put on jeans and a random T-shirt, grabbed your coat and your car keys.A strong pair of arms grabbed you and turned you around. It was your father. You could almost see steam coming out of his ears. You had never seen him this mad, he literally kept shaking you.
"What is wrong with you? All I hear from your mum is how you are giving her a hard time and it is evident Y/N Styles. Very evident. I only saw a bit of that terrible attitude this morning. I don't even want to imagine how it can be." he said, he wasn't yelling. He was talking in a normal tone.
"Leave me the fuck alone!" you said while you tried to get out of his tight grip. That set him off.
"I am so sick and tired of hearing your mother complaining about you, so sick of that attitude of yours. You better fucking change your act otherwise it will not be fun for you, young lady." he yelled. You were dying on the inside, you were scared. Really damn scared. He has never yelled at you in that way before.
"I'm sorry then" you said with attitude. He sighed and shook his head.
"Give me your phone, car keys and wallet" he said angrily. No, no, no. He couldn't do that.
"No. Never. You can't do that. " you yelled all desperate. He just laughed. Laughed.
" Watch me" he said, you saw how he took a thing by thing. You were screwed. Fuck.
You ran after him and started to cling on his arms like a five year old would do, but you didn't care. He couldn't take your stuff.
"Y/N, stop it right now." he yelled as he got out of your grip, easily.
"No, give me my things back!" you wailed.
"Oh gosh, you are acting like a five year old. You are throwing a tantrum just like one as well. Just go to your room, now." You knew that you had made a mistake, would the bond ever be good again?
