Thank you everyone for commenting your concerns. I want to inform you of my beliefs on the matter which has been brought up, but first I want to share what I love in stories and why as well as a few other important things. If you have questions after reading let me know and we can privately discuss them if you feel the need to.
I think that the ultimate beauty of stories is to read and watch a character overcome big struggles. Those kinds of stories always give me hope. We all have things to overcome throughout our lives some less dire some more dire, but all the same it pains us. I want you to know that stories of overcoming struggles inspire me to overcome mine, and hopefully others who might read my stories will agree.
In this story Victor will be raped. I do not plan on writing more than one scene about it. I will make it so you can skip the scene if you don't want to read about it. There will be plenty of warnings. If you simply don't want to read the story anymore that is fine. I respect that. I might put that chapter up as private just to make sure no one gets to the chapter by accident or unaware.
This story will be a Happily Ever After story about overcoming struggles (Do you see the theme?). Stories are lessons and tools to be inspired by. I do not think of rape as simply a tool for "entertainment." This story focuses on how guys often feel ashamed for not being strong enough to avoid being raped. Society doesn't talk too much about it happening, but it does and no one should be ashamed (except the rapist).
I'd like to add that Sang goes through awful experiences that I don't deem as appropriate to call or simply use as a tool for "entertainment." Is child abuse okay as entertainment? No, yet we have all read about that. Is killing okay as entertainment? No, yet again most if not all of us have read about that. I personally don't like killing off main characters so it is highly unlikely you will ever see that from my stories.
I will not tolerate comments that are hurtful and rude to others or me, if anyone attempts to do so be prepared to get muted and for your comment(s) to be deleted. I want people to enjoy my story in peace and if you start to dislike it then I hope you won't continue to read it. Why put yourself through that?
I want you all to know that I respect that not everyone will have the same thoughts or opinions as I do. A world like that wouldn't be as exciting would it? So if you disagree with what I have written above or am about to write bellow that is fine. What isn't fine is if people decide that they want to post mean comments despite being warned in this author's note. No one has been mean yet and I hope you all will continue to be considerate. I value your opinions, but I value mine as well.
Thank you everyone who has commented, voted, or simply gone under the radar and read this story up to this point. You've all made me very happy that you were/are interested in this story. I'm so blessed to have had your support. Thank you for those of you who will continue to support me. Thank you my friend—you know who you are—for convincing me to continue to write the story that I intended to. Thank you my friend for always editing or betaing this story for me.
I send you all a virtual hug and I hope you continue to read this story. If not, may I suggest my other story? Thank you for all remaining respectful in voicing your thoughts. Let's keep this a happy place.
