Luke's POV
I am eating a chocolate chip cookie and relaxing in bed, doing what Mr. B said, while poor North is at that stuffy rich party supporting Victor. I pick up my cell to text Gabriel and not a moment later I get zapped.
"Shit!" I panic.
I glance down at my cellphone expecting to find a GPS coordinate but instead find an incoming call from Mr. Blackbourne. My heart beat grows louder inside my head. Shit this must be bad.
I quickly accept the call and ask. "What's wrong?"
"Victor has sent out an emergency alert. He had said he was on his way not too long before the alert appeared. I need you to go to the party and keep an eye on the Morgan family. If they get a phone call or text message, I want you reading and hearing them. Try and convince the Morgan family to cancel the party. If they refuse find a way to get everyone to leave. I'm on my way to the location the emergency signal was sent." Mr. Blackbourne orders roughly.
He isn't able to hide all of the panic out of his voice. Oh no, did Volto do this? Once I get my hands on that piece of scum, I'm going to kill him and then let North have a go at him.
"Oh God, I'm on it Mr. B." I quickly say.
I hang up the call and jump out of bed to throw on a shirt and some jeans. I grab my keys and hop onto North's motorcycle. I need to get to the party fast, and the motorcycle was my best bet. I place the helmet on and adjust the straps. I don't waste a minute to pause and enjoy the sound of the engine. I push my feet off the ground and onto the sides just as the motorcycle bursts forward.
I weave through the neighborhood and out onto the main road. I don't have to worry about passing up cars at the moment, but I know I will have to soon. The light turns green, and I go through the intersection after making sure the coast is clear. At the next light, there is traffic, and it is slow going so I ride in between two rows of cars and easily make it through the next green light.
I pull up to the gate and state my name. I should be freezing from the cold ride here, but I am too numb to feel a thing. I need to know that Victor is okay, and that Sang isn't blaming herself for his disappearance. If I know Sang like I think I do, then she is definitely blaming herself.
I park the bike next to Kota's car and place the helmet on the right handle of the bike. I dash to the front door and let the security know who I am. They finally figure out that I am on the approval list and let me in. I look around for Victor's parents and find them more easily than I expect to.
I should have known they would be in front of the stage by the grand piano. I always seem to forget how terrible of parents they are. Victor never talks about them too much. He never says anything beyond that they are annoying him to do some concert or that they are getting on his nerves. Great, I get to talk to his crappy parents. I slip my way through the crowd and up to the front of the room.
"Mr. and Mrs. Morgan, we have a problem. Victor has gone missing so you need to cancel this party." I say quietly so others don't over hear.
Mr. Morgan grabs the collar of my shirt and pulls me closer. "What did you idiots do now? Do you know how important this party is? This is why I tried to keep Victor here until the performance! Was he off with that little slut he hired?"
My fists clench tightly as my desire to beat the crap out of him reaches unbearable levels. Did he just call Sang a slut? I'll kill him! How does Victor live with this? He always manages to present himself perfectly in society. I can't help it, I snap.
