Chapter Seventeen

"I'm done," Chloe said. Max ran after her but Chloe had already drove off.

~~Now~~

"Damn it," Max said. He got his phone and dialled Chloe's number. It went straight to voicemail. Isla had seen everything that had happened and she started crying. She ran into Aubree.

"Mummy gone Bee," Isla cried. Aubree looked at Isla and she ran off downstairs. Isla felt scared.

"Where's my mummy?" Aubree screamed. Max turned to Aubree.

"Has she gone?" Aubree asked. Max sighed and puck Aubree up.

"She's having a hard time right now but she'll be back," Max told her. Aubree nodded and she laid her head on Max's shoulder.

" I don't want to lose my mummy daddy," Aubree cried. Charlotte ran around looking for Chloe. She panicked when she couldn't find her. She ran to the bridge and saw Chloe standing there.

The kids were all crying. Tom and Max were trying to calm them while also trying to get in contact with Chloe or Charlotte.

"Chloe, don't do this," Charlotte said. Chloe turned back to look at her.

"I've had enough. I can't go on anymore," Chloe cried. Charlotte could feel her heart breaking.

"Yes you can. You're strong. Your baby needs you," Charlotte reasoned. Chloe broke down crying.

"Max thinks the baby isn't his though. Why would he think that I'd cheat on him?" Chloe asked.

Charlotte took a step towards her. "I don't know honey but it will get better," Charlotte said. Chloe felt weak.

"I wannt my mummy," Chloe cried.

"We'll go and get your mummy," Charlotte said. Chloe nodded and walked over to Charlotte. Charlotte walked Chloe to Rachel and Eddie's house. Eddie opened the door and brought them in.

Eddie sat with Chloe while Charlotte went to tell Rachel exactly what happened.

"She tried to commit suicide. She doesn't want to go on anymore," Charlotte said. Rachel took one look at Chloe and she felt her heart shattering.

"Chloe?"

Chloe looked up and she ran into Rachel's arms. "Its okay darling. I've got you," Rachel soothed. Chloe cried into Rachel's shoulders.

*a few weeks later*

To prove Max wrong and that the baby was his, Chloe had demanded a DNA test. Max was fuming when he found out. "You really are the limit aren't you?" Max spat. Chloe glared.

"What you gonna do? Hit me again?"

Max didn't say anything. He walked off.

Charlotte went to collect Chloe. They went to the hospital and sat in the waiting room.

"It's going to be fine," Charlotte said. Chloe smiled and nodded.

The nurse called them. She got Chloe's DNA and the baby's. Charlotte handed over the hair of Max's.

The nurse came back and smiled.

"I'm glad to say that Mr Max Tyler is the father of your child," the nurse said.

Chloe scoffed. "Any chance I could that in writing?" Chloe asked. The nurse nodded and printed off a copy of the DNA test.

"I hate him," Chloe said the minute they were out the hospital.
