Chapter Thirty-Four

Chloe hadn't been the same since Adam had raped her. She hadn't let anyone near here. She was scared of being hurt again. She didn't want Max to hurt her again.

That morning, Chloe lay on the sofa. She hadn't slept. Everytime she closed her eyes, she was reminded of what Adam had done to her. Max came down and saw her. "Morning gorgeous," Max said. Chloe looked at him and she didn't do anything.
"Morning," she mumbled. Max came and sat with her. Chloe flinched and she moved away from him.
"I'm sorry," Max said. Chloe nodded. He had been saying sorry for days. It never made a difference. He didn't know what to do.

Taitlyn woke up. She had fallen in love with a guy but didn't want to hurt Aubree. She couldn't tell her mum. So, Taitlyn decided to go and speak to Chloe.
"Mummy, I'm going to talk to Aubree," Taitlyn lied.
"Okay sweetie," Charlotte called. Taitlyn went over to Chloe's house. She answered the door to her.
"Hi auntie Chloe."
"Hi."
"Can I speak to Aubree?" Taitlyn asked. Chloe just nodded.

Aubree had fallen in love with another guy. She didn't want to hurt Taitlyn. She felt her heart break when Taitlyn walked in. "We need to talk."
"I know."

Chloe was sitting alone. She held Grace close to her. "Mummy loves you so much Grace. She loves you and your sisters," Chloe mumbled.
Taitlyn told Aubree and Aubree smiled.
"Who is he?" Aubree asked.
"He's in the army. But he's twenty two," Taitlyn mumbled.
"He's a classroom assistant in the school. Daddy will kill me for it but he's hot!" Aubree said. Taitlyn laughed.

They both went downstairs. They saw Max and Chloe sitting with Grace.
"Mummy, daddy, I'm not lesbian," Aubree said. Max's eyes went wide and so did Chloe's.
"Since when?" Chloe asked.
"Since I found someone I loved the same as Taitlyn who was a guy," Aubree said. Chloe smiled and hugged Aubree.
"Is this what you want?" Chloe asked. Aubree nodded. She looked at Taitlyn. "Is this okay with you too sweetie?"
Taitlyn nodded. "Yeah."
Chloe hugged the girls. "Make sure you stay close," Chloe said.
"We will auntie Chloe."

Chloe sat upstairs and she cried. She wanted to be able to have sex with Max without being reminded of what had happened. Max walked into the bedroom to her. "Are you okay baby?" Max asked. Chloe looked up at him.
"I'm sorry. I've been such a bitch lately," Chloe said. Max held her close.
"Its fine baby."
"No its not. I've ruined our marriage," Chloe sobbed.
"You haven't. If anything I have," Max said. Chloe shook her head.
"You didn't mean it baby," Chloe said. Max kissed her. Chloe smiled and kissed back. She pulled away and hugged her. Max wasn't going to force Chloe into sex.
"There's one person you have to apologise for," Max said.
"Who's that?" Chloe asked. Then it clicked. "I'll go see Charlotte and the kids later. Will you come with me?"
"Of course. Now, let's go downstairs with the kids and bake cookies. I've gotten used to baking," Max said.
"It still tastes awful though," Chloe mumbled.
"Hey I heard that!" Max said. Chloe smiled and held Max's hand as they walked down the stairs.

Taitlyn met up with Mike.
"Hey," he said.
"Hi," Taitlyn said. She was shy around him.
"Look, I'm sorry for calling you away from everyone, but there's a problem."
"You're going back aren't you?" Taitlyn asked. Tears rolled down her face. Mike nodded. Taitlyn cried out loud and Mike held her tightly.
Chloe and Max were eating the cookies. "These are crap," Chloe mumbled.
"Oi, at least pretend to like them."
"Sorry."
Max kissed her passionately. The kiss was turning heated until Grace started crying.

Taitlyn and Aubree had met up. They were sharing a bag of chips. "He's going back to the army," Taitlyn mumbled.
"I'm sorry."
Taitlyn cried into her. "I'm going to miss him Bee."
"I know."

Chloe had gotten Gracie back to sleep. She looked at Max sitting on the sofa and she straddled him. "Chloe, don't."
"Please. Let's try," Chloe said.
"No please," Max said. He didn't want to be reminded of what had happened between them. He hated himself for it.
"What's wrong?" Chloe asked. Max started to cry.

Taitlyn grabbed Aubree's arm.
"Aubree I'm pregnant," Taitlyn said. Aubree was shocked.
"But who's the dad? Mike?" Aubree asked. Taitlyn nodded and cried. Aubree held her.
"We'll get through this," Aubree said. Taitlyn nodded.
"Thanks Bee."

Chloe held Max close. "I'm sorry. I raped you," Max said. Chloe held him.
"You didn't. I promise," Chloe mumbled. Max looked at her.
"I love you Chloe."
"I love you too baby."

Aubree held Taitlyn. "How far along are you?" Aubree asked.
"6 weeks."
Aubree sighed. "You have to tell someone Tails."
"I can't."
"Please," Aubree said. Taitlyn shook her head and went back home. Aubree went into her house.

Chloe and Max were cuddled. The other kids were watching a movie.
"Mummy I need you," Aubree said.
"Why sweetie?" Chloe asked. Aubree went upstairs. Chloe followed her.

Aubree knew it was wrong to tell when Taitlyn didn't want her to.
"What's wrong?" Chloe asked.
"Taitlyn's pregnant with Mike. He's a twenty two year old guy who's in the army. He's going back tomorrow," Aubree said.
"How far gone is she?" Chloe asked.
"Six weeks," Aubree said.
"Does Charlotte know?"
Aubree shook her head. "No."
Chloe sighed and she nodded. "I'll explain to Charlotte soon. Give Taitlyn chance to tell her," Chloe said.
"Thanks."

Taitlyn was fifteen and pregnant. She didn't know what to do anymore.

Chloe had text Charlotte and she was coming over. Chloe looked at Max. "What would you do if Aubree were pregnant?" Chloe asked.
"I'd help her through it and support her like I helped you," Max said. Chloe smiled. "Is she?"
"No," Chloe said. Before she could say anything more, Charlotte arrived.

Chloe sat Charlotte down in Aubree's room. It was raining so they couldn't sit outside. Aubree came in.
"What's going on?" Charlotte asked.
"Taitlyn and I aren't together anymore," Aubree said. Chloe held Charlotte's hand.
"Why? Was it Tom?" Charlotte asked. Aubree shook her head. She looked at Chloe for help. She couldn't tell her aunty.
"Charly, Taitlyn's pregnant," Aubree mumbled. Charlotte was shocked.
"She's pregnant?"
"Yeah."

Charlotte couldn't believe what she was hearing. "She told you?" Charlotte asked Chloe.
"No. She's told Aubree," Chloe said. Charlotte tried to not cry.
"I can't believe she's been stupid!" Charlotte yelled.

Max looked at his phone. He saw a text from Kim -

I miss you so much Max - Kim.

Max ignored the text and he looked at Chloe. "You do realise that you're my everything," Max said.
Chloe smiled. "I know baby."
Max showed Chloe the text. Chloe winked at him and phoned Kim from his phone. Chloe squeezed his hand.

Charlotte went to the house. She got in and slammed the door. Taitlyn jumped. She knew what had happened. She needed to go. Mike was on his way to the airport.
"Taitlyn I need to talk to you now!" Charlotte called. Taitlyn paled. She grabbed her jacket and ran down the stairs. She ran out the door to the airport.

Charlotte saw Taitlyn running. She got in the car with Tom. Eddie had the other kids. Tom was fuming with rage. They got to the airport and frowned. They followed Taitlyn in.

Taitlyn ran over to Mike. Everyone in the army turned around.
"Mike, please don't leave me," Taitlyn said.
"Sweetie what are you doing here?" Mike asked.
"I can't do this without you."
"Do what?"
"I'm pregnant at fifteen!" Taitlyn screamed. She broke down. Mike fell to the floor with her and held her.
