The last buzzer rang. The game was over. I looked over at J.D.
"So I guess this is where we say goodbye." He pouted.
"I don't want to." I took ahold of his other hand, until he let go and gave me a big hug.
"I don't either" He gave me a warm smile and I smiled back at him and continued hugging him. "I love you pal." He said while I was resting my head on shoulder.
"I love you too fag." I mumbled while tightening my grip on him.
I heard Taylor's voice as I continued holding him.
"Victoria, come on it's time to go home." She said.
I could feel him tightening his grip on me a little so I looked into his deep green eyes and it happened. Right there, right then he kissed me. It took my breath away for I wasn't expecting it. It was short but meant a world to me. When he pulled back we just looked at each other as if we were the first people who just landed on mars. He left me breathless only to be taken away from him by Taylor.
"Bye J.D." I managed to get out. But he just stood there, as shocked as I was about what had just happened.
...
"So did you have a nice homecoming?" Taylor grinned ear to ear as we both sat down in our pajamas on my bed. I nodded.
"Well you aren't talking to me, what happened?" She actually looked like she didn't know about the kiss.
"Nothing, it was great." But that's just it, it was great. Up until the fact that it was now 11:30 PM and J.D. hadn't responded to my messages. I continually kept checking my phone to see if he replied. but he didn't. Until 4 AM when my phone lit up with the notification I had been dying to receive.
