Young Blood

In this chapter, I'll be featuring some music from New Zealand so if you don't know them, go to the songs used list, look at the song title and artist then search them up on YOUTUBE!

"So they've already given us a theme for Nationals. And the theme is..." Will says to the Glee Club a week after Regionals as he opens up the letter in his hand, "Songs by international artists. They say they can't be songs by people from the USA or the UK. They have to be from places like New Zealand or Australia."
"Awesome." Members of the Glee Club say.
"So this means we'll have to do some research about these songs." Will says.
"I know some songs but not a lot." Sam says.
"Why don't we focus our set list on songs from one country?" Blaine asks.
"That's a good idea. Which country though?" Will asks.
"New Zealand." Rachel says.
"That's country is so cool. Remember when we visited there for our promotion tour?" Santana asks.
"Loved it." Rachel says.
"This weeks assignment is to find cool songs from New Zealand we could use for our performance for Nationals." Will says.
The Glee Club get their phones out immediately and start to Google songs.

The next day Sam, Artie, Kitty and Tina have something ready to perform. They stand on the choir room floor as the Glee Club take their seats and the band start.

[Sam:]
Brother Pele's in the back, sweet Seena's in the front
Cruising down the freeway in the hot, hot sun
Suddenly red-blue lights flash us from behind
Loud voice,
"All move, please step out onto the line"
Pele breathes words of comfort
Seena just hides her eyes
Policeman taps his shades
"Is that a Chevy 69?"

[Artie:]
Destination unknown, as we pull in for some gas
A freshly pasted poster reveals a smile from the pack
Elephants and acrobats, lions, next monkey
Pele speaks righteous, sister Seena says "Funky"

Ringmaster steps up, says,
"The elephants left town"

T.V. news and cameras, there's choppers in the sky

Pele yells, "We're outta here,"
Seena says, "Right on"

[Sam:]
Make your moves and starting grooves before they knew we were gone
Jumped into the Chevy, headed for big lights

The New Directions clap and cheer for the four performing.
"I like that song. I remember when it came out in the States and it was so popular here but I don't think it has Nationals potential." Will says.
"We know but we just wanted to perform it." Artie says with a slight shrug. The four head back to the seats to carry on with the day.
"So anyone else have anything?" Will asks.
"I do with Rachel, Santana and Mercedes." Marley says.
"A Little Mix kiwi song? Yay." Kitty says, sarcastically.
"I found a video of this girl group on The X Factor NZ performing this and they did awesome. So we found the song and it's a great song so we're going to perform it." Marley says, ignoring Kitty's comment.
The band start to play the song.
