"So, are you still feeling weird about all of this werewolf stuff?" Alex asked me, whilst throwing the football towards Austin.

We were all out in the garden, wrapped up in blankets. The guys playing football, and us girls sitting on the benches decorating the patio. It had just gone sundown and even though it was cold, there wasn't a breeze, and it was an overall still night. I've had such an amazing day meeting all of the pack members, even if they did talk me to death. They all seemed kind and genuine people, willing to take me in. They were all older than us, but Ryan's son, Jerome, was the youngest at twenty one.

"Not really. I'm feeling more comfortable with it now that I've met everyone." I answered, taking a gulp of my hot chocolate that Lily, one of the elder members, brought out for us. She was a sweet woman with a heart of gold, and I really took to her the minute we started talking. She was Ryan's nana, but still she tried convincing everyone she was thirty. Lily was definitely the soul of the party, and someone I would be going to whenever I needed to talk. I had never met my grandparents, so I cherished that sort of figure in my life. I loved the company. She seemed really wise.

"It's cool that you're one of us now though. We were all scared of the day Austin had to tell you, it's hard to find out something as crazy as being a wolf." I'm glad that Austin didn't have to sit me down, I would have thought he was deluded, or mentally ill. Who the hell believes in werewolves?

"Yeah, I don't really know how I would've reacted, probably would've left the city as fast as possible." I joked, letting out a chuckle as a few of my friends started to laugh too.

"Hey! You better not have fled the city!" Austin expressed, "I would've sent a search party out for you just to prove that I wasn't crazy."

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves babe," I tried to reason as Austin came to sit next to me, "I'll always think you're crazy." With that comment everyone started to crack up with laughter. It was times like these that I remembered how blessed I am to have an amazing group of friends who accepted me, and loved me equally.

"I was only joking," I pout, leaning in to kiss him on the lips, "I love you really."

"It's okay B," Austin reassured. "I am crazy," he winked, "crazy for you."

"LAME!" Terry shouted, and threw the football in our direction. As if it was second nature, I reached out and caught it with one hand, not only shocking me, but everyone around me.

"Holy shit, talk about insane reflexes." Terry voiced, too shocked to even say anything else.

"I can't believe you caught it so quickly, without even paying attention." Amelia said in awe.

"I mean... I didn't really... Shit." I looked down at my hands in pure shock. I couldn't believe that I'd caught the ball so quickly, as well as catching it in one hand. I guess because the mate bond was becoming stronger, so were my powers.

"I guess your powers are becoming stronger." I stiffened at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, so did Austin. I turned to the back door and saw a tall, Hispanic looking boy, looking directly at me. His eyes were filled with mystery, and it put me on edge. They didn't make me feel comfortable at all.

"I'm Jerome, Ryan's son. I'm also a hybrid, maybe I could be of help whenever you have questions?" He asked, still looking directly at me.

"Um... I mean..." I stuttered.

"She won't need your help, her parents are there for her. They are answering her questions." Austin cut me off, snapping at Jerome in anger. I looked at Austin in disbelief but he didn't even look my way.
