She realized why she hurt herself...
It wasn't just because of her friends, or the words they'd say.
No, not at all. It was because of the things she'd remember.

He would hold her down, and hit her till she was black and blue. The tears that stained her face meant nothing to him.

"Don't you love me?" She'd ask.

"Of course I do" he'd say hoarsely.

And every night, she'd be assured that he loved her. But for what? Just her body, that was sure. Then slowly, her mind began to deteriorate. She began to hallucinate.

"I can't leave this way." She'd say, but no one would listen.

"I want it to stop completely" she said at last.
"To get peace and quiet for once."

And soon enough, she finally received it. But what happened is such a tragic fate...for the price to pay, was her life.
