The sun was high and the clouds settled in indistinct, nebulous shapes on the endless blue sky. I sat on a green meadow with short poppies. Small, colourful butterflies drifted around the flowers. The River Running (Celduin) was rippling beside and hopped over the rocks merrily. I could see the Lonely Mountain rising above, doused in thick layers of mist and its marvel astounded me.I brought Fili and Kili to have fun and play outside near the naditrof Erebor. Fili was running hitherto trying to catch butterflies. His chubby fingers missed them everytime he sprang up still he never gave up. His sleek hair pounced up and down everytime he jumped. All this made his lace on his boot unfasten. Before I could tie it, Fili tripped and happily he was alright. I bent low to tie his lace when I heard a plop sound.

I lifted my head and scanned the entire meadow but Kili was nowehere to be found. I sense of dread loomed in my head. My eyes focused on the river, I quickly got up and dipped my hand from where the ripples moved away. I clasped a foot and pulled it up. And up came Kili, his raven-black hair dripping water and a big on his face.

"I saw a fish!" he warbled giving a broad smile. My feelings morphed instantly from terror to admiration. Fili and Kili were so adorable! I lifted Kili and led Fili by my hand back into the Gates of Erebor, their home. The kingdom was in a hustle-bustle as always. Huge pillars erected the halls and warm fires lighted the place. The royal chambers were deep inside the Mountain and were vast and embellished with statues and glowing lanterns.
Kili was half-asleep as he entered his chamber and Fili was hungry. Kili changed to dry clothes and withing minutes he was sleeping tightly. Fili demanded for something to eat. I rushed to the larder and brought banana cake and apples for Fili. He gladly, gobbled up the snack and to my surprise he left me a thin slice of cake. He fondly pushed it towards me.I fondly accepted it and shoved it inside as he sat smiling at me. Something in my mind whispered of trickery but Fili was just a kid and I banished that thought and gave Fili some books to read.

I lit a fire in the chamber and left, Dis wanted to discuss some matters with me.
