It's almost New Years Eve. 2015 is coming. Dylan and I are flying out to Colorado with my siblings, two of Connor's friends, Rachel and her boyfriend, and then Gabe, Dylan's friend. I'm bringing Paulina, of course, and it's gonna be great. Paulina isn't coming out until New Years Eve though because her brothers birthday is the night before, go figure. She's flying out with Rachel, her boyfriend, and Gabe.

So for now, it's just Dylan, Connor and his two friends. And me obviously. Were flying out in four hours. We're driving to the airport now! I can't wait. After New Years, were staying up for a couple more days and skiing.

(FLASH FORWARD TO THE PLANE RIDE)

Dylan and I sat next to each other and Connor and his friends sat in the seats in front of us. I was glad to get some alone time with Dylan, finally. Dylan sat in the middle and I sat in the window seat. An older lady sat next to us in the isle seat. The plane took off quickly and we were gonna be there in no time. I leaned my head on Dylan's shoulder and shut my eyes. Before I could fall asleep, I started to hear Dylan talking with the lady sitting next to him. I decided to keep my eyes shut and just listen into their conversation. I know, it's kind shady, but don't judge me.

"Oh yeah. Were from California, and were flying out to Colorado for New Years. What about you?"

"Well, I'm originally from New York, but I moved to Colorado for college and stayed there. My husband lived in California, so we went out there for Christmas to visit his family, but were heading back to Colorado for New Years."

"Well, where is your husband now?"

"He gave up his seat to get a free additional flight. Were trying to save up to go to Hawaii for our 30th anniversary."

"Oh, how sweet."

"Yeah, well, how about this one?"

"Oh, Penny? Were just friends."

"It doesn't look like just friends."

"I mean, were close, but I think she just thinks we're friends."

"Just her, or do you think of her as just a friend too?"  

"I don't want too, but if that's how she feels, then I don't want to say anything to ruin our friendship. Plus, we were really good friends when we were younger, but I left for an acting camp in the summer before our freshman year of high school and never came back. I didn't call or anything. I kinda just disappeared of the face of the earth. I didn't get back till the beginning of this school year. We're seniors. I felt like such a bad friend and I know if I mess up again, I could ruin our friendship forever. Even though I do like her, I don't want to risk it."

"What if she likes you too?" Dylan sighed and looked downat my head. "All I'm saying is, if you like her, tell her, or else you never will and it'll be to late."

"I really want too. I really want to kiss her at midnight on New Years, but I don't know how she'll react."

"That's a great idea! I say kiss her. She'll never expect it and once you do, she'll have to fall in love with you."

"Do you happen to be a hopeless romantic?" Dylan laughed and so did the lady.  

"I am actually, how'd you know?" They both smiled and kept talking.

I couldn't believe he might kiss me at midnight on New Years. That's all I ever wanted. I never knew he felt that way about me.
