~Frank's POV~
It was four days into our week long visit. Gerard had bribed his little cousins with candy to keep quiet about our beach make out to his mom. He seemed so nervous about it. She knew about Mikey and Pete, but he was overly worried that she wouldn't aprove of us.
"G, it's going to be fine." I smiled, caressing my thumb against his cheek.
He just frowned silently.

"Oh, Frankie! Frankie!" Gerard's little cousin ran down the hallway towards me as I came out of the bathroom. She grabbed my hand and tugged me in the direction of the living room.
"Hey! What's up, kid?" I laughed.
"Aunty found old pictures!" She giggled, still tugging me down the hall.
I just followed her lead, pausing just slightly to look at the beach photo of Gerard and his family. She pulled me into the living room where Gerard's mom, aunt, and other two cousins were. Mikey was sitting in the corner of the room on his laptop with ear buds. He was waving at the screen with a goofy smile on his face.
"Frank!" Gerard's mom smiled at me, "Happy Thanksgiving, hun! Is Gerard still sleeping?"
"Yea." I said, scratching the back of my head. I was suddenly very thankful that I had decided to sleep in a loose tee shirt and some baggy plaid pajama pants. "Do you want me to wake him?"
"Let him sleep, come here and look at some old photos with us." She waved away my concern before ushering me over. I shrugged and went over. I sat on a chair right next to the couch and leaned on the arm.
They were only on the first page of the large photo album. The little ones had squeezed on the couch next to Gerard's mom and looked at the book excitedly. This page had a lot of baby photos. I could almost immediately point out Gerard. His hair was thin, but dark as his chubby little cheeks smiled at the camera. Once again, I could see his eyes. This photo was black and white, however, so their color was still a mystery to me...
"I don't give you permission to embarrass me!.." Mikey's voice drifted over.
"Yea, well, I'm your mother. I don't need permission." His mom sassed back, turning the page of the photo album.
So that's where Gerard got it.
"This is one of my favorites of Gerard." His mother said suddenly. She tapped my hand and pointed at a full color photo of a three or four year old Gerard. It was at a beach, very similar to the beach scene from the family photo in the hall. He was playing in the sand next to a sand castle being built by Mikey and the man I assumed to be their father. Gerard had a handful of sand that he was letting fall through his fingers. He had a confused look on his face as he looked straight at the camera. His eyes were huge and I could finally see their color.
They were stunning. I could see green and brown mixed in the most beautiful of ways. Usually those colors would just feel like mucky and nothing much to look at...But Gerard's eyes were a shade of hazel crafted by the big man himself. The colors blended perfectly in his eyes... I couldn't help the soft 'wow' that escaped my lips.
"This was taken just before the accident..." Gerard's mom trailed off.
"Accident?" I asked. Her happy expression had saddened just a bit. Her hand trailed around the photo before she sighed.
"Gerard and his father were in a very bad accident not long after this trip..." She said, softly. She turned to me and continued, "My husband died in the impact, but Gerard only suffered a few bumps and bruises... Or so we thought when they first took him to the hospital. He had suffered a head injury...So bad that it affected his vision...to the point it just gave out." She smiled sadly, "He doesn't remember it at least."
