Annabeth was tired. Surprising, as she spent most her free time at Percy's side. The doctors had taken a liking to her knowledge, and taught her much about the medical profession. "A smart girl," they had called her, "with a strong spirit and a long way to go in life."

Of course, it was nice receiving compliments, but Percy was still unconscious. They said he would wake up soon, though. Thank the gods about that. School was still a pain, but she put up with it. For Percy. Only for Percy.

Piper watched Reyna flirt with Jason, hands clenched into fists. Jason could be so oblivious sometimes, it wasn't even funny. Boys, she thought, always so observant. Honestly, any more and she'd burst. Every time she saw the two of them, she wondered if Jason was going to break up with her any moment. Reyna was so much prettier, so strong, and Piper could never compare. Why did Jason even choose her? For her famous dad? For her popularity? It was maddening-Jason made her happy and mad at the same time.
There I go again, she thought, wry smile on face. In her peripheral vision, she spotted Jason waving to her frantically, relieved smile plastered on his face. She smiled. Jason had noticed it after all.

Jason was extremely uncomfortable around Reyna. She was always flirting with him, even after he'd told her a million times that he had Piper. Piper, the only girl he truly loved. Seeing aforementioned girl in the corner of his eye, he turned toward her and waved frantically, grinning. Finally, no more Reyna, he thought, as the girl flirting with him saw Piper and awkwardly left, before too much tension got between the three of them.
Slinging an arm around his girlfriend, the two walked in the direction of the neighborhood they both lived in.

Frank was worried. Grandmother wasn't herself these days (though it was probably because of his mom's death), and Percy wasn't getting any better. Jason and Piper were nowhere to be seen, and their group of friends was falling apart. To top it all off, the Thanksgiving Ball was coming up and Percy wasn't up. Annabeth had been worried out of her mind. Not helping at all was the fact that his mom's death was coming up. He had been nothing more than a bundle of nerves lately, but Hazel was always there. She was definitely a godsend, Hazel was. All the more reason he loved her.

And my inspiration ends there ;-;
