Chapter 28

CLARA ANN's POV

The bullet pierced...

Penny.

My stomach dropped, as my heart stopped.

"Penny!" I cried out.

I squirmed out of Chad's grasp, until he shot my back. I fell down right next to Penny, until blackness took over.

HARRY's POV

Chad just shot Clara's back, her dropping to the floor.

My heart just shattered into a billion pieces. Clara's body laid lifelessly on the floor, blood pouring out of her shoulder.

I pushed past the boys, and ran to Clara's side. Her eyes squeezed shut, and her chest was barely moving.

Te tears spilled with no warning, and there was an eerie silence.

"Dude, you just shot two girls, in the middle of the day! Do you know how many people could have heard that?!" Troy yelled.

"Do you seriously think I don't realize that?! Come on! Babe, we have to go now!" He yelled.

Taylor came prancing from behind, and whispered in my ear.

"This wouldn't have happened if you stayed with me." She whispered. Her breath radiated off my neck, sending cold shivers down my spine.

"C-Clara?" Penny choked out.

Her eyes were barely open, and she looked out of breath.

"Penny, darling, don't speak, save your breath." Perrie assured.

"What are you all staring for? Two girls are literally shot, go call the bloody police!" I yelled.

Then, Liam ran to the living room to grab the phone.

I pressed my ear to Clara's chest, and heard the slow heartbeat of Clara's heart. Then, she opened her eyes slightly, and spoke.

"Harry, I can't hold on much longer." She croaked

"No, Clara, stay with me." I pleaded. I grabbed her hand in mine and squeezed it reassuringly.

"I c-can't Harry. Harry, before I die, I want you to know, I love you, no matter what." She choked out, until her eyes shut close and her hand relaxed, and I could no longer feel her heartbeat.

"No. No, no no no, NO!" I yelled.

She didn't respond, she was really dead. I let out a loud scream, and cried, and cried until my eyes were bone dry.

"Haz, the paramedics are on- What happened?" Louis asked.

"S-She's gone. The last thing she said was that she loved me." I sobbed.

He knelt down next to me, and started to rub circles on my back assuringly.

"Penny?" Danielle whispered. Penny moved her head slowly towards Danielle's direction.

"Penny, stay strong, please. For me." Eleanor came and knelt down next to her.

"Penny! You are such a courageous little girl, and you took a bullet for me. I love you, my little mixer." Perrie said, kissing her forehead. Penny's mouth curled up into a small smile.

Then, the paramedics came and pulled Clara and Penny onto the beds, and wheeled them out of the room.

I felt cold water splash on my face, and I shot up. I looked around frantically, and saw I was in the dark. I was in my room.

I shot up from bed, and ran over to Clara's flat. I knocked furiously on her door, until I heard shuffling and Clara peeked out of the door, with her hair a mess, still in her pajamas, and rubbing her eyes.

Relief flooded my body, and I realized,

It was just a nightmare.

I pulled her into a big hug, and spun her around.

"Harry. What are you doing at my flat at four in the morning?" She grumbled.

"I love you, please forgive me.i love you too much to let you go. Please give me another chance!" I pleaded, and dropped to my knees.

Her eyes widened and I could tell that she was thinking hard.

"Harry,I never stopped loving you." She said, pulling me up and into a kiss. It was short but sweet.

"So, is that a yes?" I smirked.

"No duhh, curly." She giggled.

"Hey, happy birthday."I smiled, grabbing her hand.

"Why, thank you." She said in a posh accent.

"I love you." I smiled.

"And I love you." She smiled, getting up on her tippy toes and kissed my lips.
