Epilogue

2021 Five years has passed.

Miranda Kolosov's POV

"Mommy"

I opened my eyes sleepily as a tiny body crawled onto the bed. I rubbed my eyes before sitting up, "What's wrong darling? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"

"I can't sleep." Katerina pouted before I pulled her into my embrace, "Why not?"

"Daddy didn't read me my bedtime story."

I sighed before running my hands through her tangled curls, "Didn't I read it to you already because Daddy isn't around to do so?"

"Uh huh, but I can't sleep if Daddy doesn't read it to me." Katerina pouted and shot me a pleading expression. "Alright, you can sleep with me here. Come on crawl under the covers."

I gave in and now, the pleading expression was gone and a triumphant grin appeared as she snuggled closer to me. Katerina Kolosov was definitely a daddy's girl through and through. She took on more of Slade's personality and always wanted her way and usually she got it.

I guess she had that personality because Slade always gave into her even though I told him not to. "When's daddy coming back?" Katerina questioned as she rubbed her eyes tiredly.

Slade was now currently in Chicago handing a business deal and he had left earlier today. "He'll be back in two days time darling."

It has been four years since my beautiful but demanding daughter Katerina had been born. Slade was completely wrapped around her little pinky finger. Katerina was named after Slade's mother and she had inherited her big hazel eyes from me and her dark blonde hair from Slade. She was a mix of both of us but she definitely had Slade's personality.

"But that's like forever!" Katerina whined and I sighed before brushing her dark blonde curls away from her face. "Daddy has to work but he promised to take you to the zoo when he comes back didn't he?"

Katerina frowned, "Uh huh. But I miss daddy. Work is stupid."

I raised my eyebrows, "What did I say about using that word?"

"But daddy says it!" Kat protested.

I scowled and pursed my lips, even though I had told Slade to keep his language clean, his mouth simply didn't have a filter. "Well he can say it because he's an adult and you're not. I better not catch you saying that word again okay? It's not a nice word and I'm very sure he misses you as well. Now, go to sleep, you have a play date with Alexandria tomorrow remember?"

Katerina frowned at my reprimanding before complying. "Okayy. Night mommy." She planted a kiss on my cheek before snuggling into me.
