Extra #5-The Swear Jar

2023-Two years have passed.

Miranda Kolosov's POV

I hummed to myself as I sewed the ribbons onto the cape. Once I was done, I brushed the remaining pieces of cloth away and held the black cape up and studied it for any problems.

A tugging on my leg caught my attention and I looked down to see Charlie pouting at me, "Mama."

I smiled at her and stopped what I was doing and picked my little daughter up. "Yes my darling?"

Charlie didn't say a thing as she nestled her head into the crook of my neck and I smiled. I loved being a mother. It wasn't the easier job in the world but it was rewarding beyond comprehension. Charlie and Seb are reaching two in just a few months and I was a little nostalgic.

They were growing up so quickly that I barely managed to register the fact that they were no longer babies but toddlers now.

Charlotte Kolosov was an exact replica of me, from her strawberry blonde curls and brown eyes, Slade was completely wrapped around her little finger.

Sebastian on the other hand looked so much like Slade that I could already see some of Slade's signature expressions on him especially with his blue eyes and dark blonde hair.

Now, Kat is six years old and even though she could be a handful at times, she was an amazing big sister. She would always play with Charlie and Seb even though they annoyed her at times.

Slade well he was still himself. Crude words, foul language and all of his arrogant, domineering self. But he was an amazing dad and a wonderful loving husband.

However his actions pissed me off at times. One such example was when I had caught him trying to teach Sebastian to say a word that no baby or child should even say. And when I had confronted him about it, he had sulked and said that Trevor, Drake's son's first word was fuck.

I was appalled and well Slade was a little sulky the whole day that I had foiled his plans. But he got over it when Kat had yelled the word 'asshole' at someone in kindergarten.

And of course, that led to us being called in for a parent teacher's meeting about Kat's strong adult language.

I looked down at Charlie who had fallen asleep in my arms while I was reminiscing about the past. I gently stroked her cheek, marvelling on how Slade and I could create something so perfect.

Standing up slowly and cradling Charlie to my chest, I walked over to her room and gently placed her in her bed. Looking down at her, all I could think of was how much I loved her. My precious Charlotte.

I smiled and shut the door gently and made my way back to the study to complete Kat's Halloween costume. Before I could even enter the study, a very familiar high pitch squeal sounded around the house followed by the f-bomb.
