Chapter Eleven
I sat up, removing the covers over me. I slowly get up, walking to the door. I turn the door knob, looking at the key hole wishing so much i had the key. I itched the back of my head, pulling out a bobby pin making it fall to the floor. I just stood there staring at it for a couple minutes before bending down and picking it up. I remember seeing in a movie ones someone picking a lock with a bobby pin, it couldnt be that hard.
Lucky for me it wasnt, i unlocked the door easily and opened it. It was quite and no one was anywhere in sight. I slowly make my way down the hall, glancing over my should a couple times.
It took me atleats half an hour to get to the first floor. I walk to one of the windows and climb out.
My breathing increased as i started running. I was out, i was going home. I look over my should, the moon being my only light. There was no one following me, no one there. "Help," I scream tripping over a rock, falling in the tall grass.
I quickly stand back up, limping to a road infront of me. A pair of head lights appear in the distance, heading my way. I stick my hands in the air,"Stop please help me." I scream as the car grew nearer.
The car pulled up infront of me, slamming on its brakes. The drivers door open, Jake stepping out. "Jake is that you?" He ran over to me, the passenger door opening Mary and Ally jumping out.
"Yeah its me," Jake scooped me up in his arms, hugging me tight. Mary and Ally both stayed by the car, holding each others hand.
"What are you doing here? How did you get out?" I asked, as he set me back on the ground. "They forgot to lock the door and we got out. We took one of there cars and now where heading to my boyfriends place. Come on its not far from here, when we get there you can explain where the hell they took you." I nod my head both of us heading back to the car.
Mary hugged me," I thought you were gone." She said, as we all got in the car. As the car stopped, i looked out my window stunned to see a huge mansion that looked familar.
"We're here," Jake said, all of us climbing out. The front door open, and my heart sank. Zach walked over pressing his lips against Jakes. "Zach is your boyfriend?" Both of there heads turn to me.
Mary and Ally both run to them, Zach picking up Mary and Jake picking up Ally. "You dont get it do you? This is all a test Lanie. Your real name is Jessica Lay, all you know is a lie that they planted in your brain." My mother and father both stepped out on to the porch holding hands. "They arent your parents Jessica, none of this really happened. It was all just a lie, only you could see." I closed my eyes, rubbing my head.
"No my name is Lanie, your my mom and and..." Everything started spinning, and i fell to my knees.
I sat up real fast, my heart was beating repeatedly and i was covered in sweat. I looked around, i was in the room Zach left me. It was all a dream, i told myself over and over again in my head. I lay my head back down, looking at the clock on the wall, it was only four in the morning. I sighed, rolling on my side. It was all a dream, i kept saying till ones again i was asleep.
