The bell goes off signaling the end of class and the beginning of lunch, I stood up grabbed my things and took off to the parking lot. I was so nervous, I don't even know why, it was just a lunch...date? Wait, was it a lunch date, is this considered a date, or are we just hanging out? Oh my gosh, maybe he is just really friendly and feels bad because our brothers got in a fight. Should I even go now?? As all these questions were running through my mind, I got more and more nervous the closer I got to taco bell. When I finally pulled into the parking lot, I felt like fainting or bailing, but couldn't do either of those because I see Jax pull up in a red mustang, right next to me.

"Hey Mari!! You came, I was so worried you would change your mind." He so cutely responded.

"Hi Jax, if we are both being honest, I was pretty nervous to come, actually." I admitted.

"Why, it's not like I bite or anything." He tried joking to make the air less awkward as we started walking towards the inside of the building.

"No, it's not that I am afraid of being alone with you or anything...but what are we considering this, thing?" I bravely asked

"Well, I don't want to move to fast, and this would be a very awful first date, but could we consider it a lunch date?" Hearing that made my stomach drop and my cheeks flush, but I remember how my friends told me to go out on a limb and to try new things and give it a chance.

"You know what Jax, I think this would be a perfect first lunch date." I smiled up at him.

"Really?" He exclaimed, obviously very surprised with my answer.

"Yeah, why not? I hate super expensive dates and things anyways, so this is great!" I responded, and Jax surprised me by slouching down, grabbing my waist and hugging me. I hugged him back and secretly smelled his shirt, he smelled so good. When we finally broke apart, I smiled up at him.

  "What was that for, Jax?"

"Because you make me happy." He so smoothly responded. I left the conversation at that and decided on what I wanted to order, when Jax slickly put his arm around my back and my upper waist and slowly pulled me closer to him. This kid has moves and obviously wastes no time on using them.

"I can help whoever is next." The bored lady working the cashier called out. Jax and I walked forward and both ordered, he got a quesadilla and I got a couple tacos, when she told us our total and I reached for my wallet, Jax had already handed her a twenty dollar bill. She handed him a receipt and our cups to go fill our drinks and moved on to take the next persons order.

"Hey, thank you for paying" I told Jax

"Of course, it wouldn't be right of me to let my gorgeous date pay." He responded with a cheeky smile. We filled our drinks and grabbed our orders and sat down to eat lunch. I looked at my phone to see the time and realized I only had fifteen minutes until school started again. Oh well, I guess I'll just be late, it's not like I will be the only senior ditching today. I guess Jax noticed the look on my face because he asked me if I was okay.

"Yeah, I'm fine. What are your next classes after lunch?" I asked him

"Well, I have algebra, modern lit, art and lastly a release."

"Interesting" I responded, hoping he would ask why.

"Why?" he asked, fulfilling my hope.

"Oh, well... now that I think about it, never mind, it's dumb." I blushed embarrassed with my question.

"Oh yes Marianna, I want to know what you were going to say, tell me." Jax begged to know
