The Kiss

Charlotte's POV

After dinner, Daniel and I walked to my house. We arrived home at around ten.

"I love this movie." I spoke.

We were watching Batman Begins, I love this movie, more than I love Pizza Hut, yeah, that much.

"I know you do, we've watched this movie a million times." Daniel commented.

"So? It's awesome!" I said, looking up at him.

We were currently cuddling on my bed. After tonight, it was a little awkward, but I loved being in his arms. He made me feel safe and that nothing could ever happen to me. Not even depression could get in the way.

"I know." He replied.

"Thank you Danny." I spoke, laying my head back on his chest, looking at the TV screen.

"For what?" He questioned, stroking my hair, making me more relaxed.

"For being here for me, for fixing me. You make me feel safe. You make me feel like depression can't come crawling back in my life. You make me happy. After Bruno died, you've been there for me, you've fought off the demons for me without even trying. I'm thankful for that." I replied, looking him in the eyes the whole time.

"I think it should be me who should be thanking you, Char." He commented.

"Why?" I questioned confused.

"Because no matter what I did in the passed, you still want me around, you still lean on me for when you're at your lowest, you've told me all there is about you, and I've told you all about myself. All I think about is how lucky I am to have you as a best friend. I'm not going to lie, I wish that one day in the future you will be mine, but know that I will always be yours." He spoke, leaning down, placing a kiss on my forehead.

I stayed silent, and placed my head back on his chest. I closed my eyes, letting his heart beat calm me down.

"Why do you do this to me?" He questioned aloud.

"What am I doing?" I questioned, lifting my head up, looking up at him.

"Nothing. It's the way you make me feel. I don't know how you can make me feel like this. Ever since I met you in the orphanage I've been feeling strong feelings, I love the way you make me feel, but I hate that I can't explain it." He explained.

"That's how I used to feel with Damian. Until he went with Vanessa. Then what happened with Jenny and Vanessa I didn't want to feel like that anymore, but I guess I'm starting to trust my heart a lot more now." I explained.

"You make me want to kiss you with so much passion and love it's not even a joke anymore." He groaned, closing his eyes.

"Then kiss me." I whispered, not thinking he could hear me, but I knew he did because he leaned closer.

The closer our faces became, the faster my heart beat went. My eyes fluttered closed as soon as I saw his eyes close, then it happened,

We kissed.

Well Daniel and Charlotte are getting comfortable, but they wont be comfortable for long though ;)
