I lay my head slowly back down and close my eyes, but when I breathe in the warm air; it concerns me. Its smoke.

I sit up again, but faster and more attentive. I rub my eyes and suddenly, I see a large shadow in the kitchen. I stood up quietly and slid my feet across the floor slowly. I round the corner and my eyes grow wide and his head jerked towards me. He stared straight at me. I open my mouth to scream and a loud shriek escapes. He runs towards me and my eyes close from freight. He hits me in the stomach hard and I feel dizzy. I fall onto my knees and I look at his dark boots.  He ran past me and I could no longer see him, but I faintly heard the front door slam shut.

I struggle to get up and almost collapse again, but I grab onto a nearby chair. A small, yet bright spark catches my eye, near an outlet and it travels fast up the violet drapes and before I have time to get out of the room, it's full of dangerous, hungry flames.
I force myself to run upstairs, but the fire beat me and began coming up through the floor. I wasn't able to continue up the stairs to get to my parent's bedroom; where they lay fast asleep.
I suddenly see a large figure running towards me from the other side of the fire and I notice it almost instantly.

It's Augustus and I crouch down, putting my hands out in front of me. He leaped over a small flame and I catch him in my arms. But he was too heavy for me, so I grab onto his collar and turn around towards the bottom of the stairs. The room was filled with smoke and I could barely see anything.

I get onto my knees and begin feeling my way towards the front door, but it was almost impossible, because the flames had already taken it over.
Augustus and I were trapped.

I sit on the hot ground behind the couch and huddle into a tiny ball, with Augustus next to me.
I look around the room, trying to find something that could protect me from the flames; crawling closer and closer each second.

Suddenly I spy a shadow about 10 feet away. I tried to scream for the person, but nothing came out. The sound of the fire burning through the furniture was louder and I wanted my pare-

My parents. They're upstairs.

The man grabs my arms and pulls me towards him, but I fight his grasp. I cough violently and the air felt as if it was dissolving from my lungs. I couldn't breathe and the fire began to get closer, I look down to see Augustus by my side. He looked up at me and his eyes were wide; he was terrified. was a man and by the time he reached me, I forced my body to stand up, I need to get to my parents. I just got them back and I don't want to loose them again. I can't.

I look up at the man, it was Harry.

"Catherine, we need to get out of here!"

He yelled over the fire and my head began to hurt. I lift my hand up and rub my forehead. I look around for my mother, but she was nowhere in sight.

Without my consent, Harry lunges forward and swoops me up into his arms. I want to fight him, maybe try to find an alternate root upstairs, but it was almost impossible.

I wrap my skinny arms around his neck and as Augustus follows us towards to front door, I close my eyes slowly.
I don't know if this is the first time, but I'm glad to see him.
I lean my lips close to his ear and I whisper; so quietly I almost thought he didn't hear me

"Thank you"

But he turned his head slowly to look at me and he gave me a crooked smile.

"You're not getting rid of me that easy."

He said loudly so I could hear him over one of the window's shattering.
Within the distance I heard sirens coming closer and closer with each passing moment, but I didn't let go of Harry.
