I know it's selfish of me to think this way but no. I don't want to go home. I don't want to go back and just be known as 'Ava's best friend'. I finally have a name here. I finally have someone who wants nothing to do with Ava, somebody who doesn't want to be with her secretly. Somebody who loves me for me.
"You won't understand"
"Try me"
"I'm afraid that when you meet her.."
"What Esme? What?"
"I don't want to lose you Cyrille" I cried, and as years of jealousy came out Cyrille made sure that he would never leave me. Of course it's hard for me to trust his words for God sake my ex tried to cheat on me with Ava but she refused. I trust Ava. It's my feelings that I don't trust.
He lifted my face and tucked my hair behind my ears "Look at me Esme. Trust me when I say that I will never leave you, Esme all my life I felt dead and lost, but then you came along and made things fun and meaningful again. Nothing and nobody can change that"
"You promise?" I said like a child begging for reassurance
"With every beat of my heart"
