A/N: Warning: Violence

Indrasena woke up in excruciating pain. She could barely move. Her wrist felt broken and every time she inhaled, it felt as if she was inhaling needles. She tried to sit up to look around, but she instantly cried out in pain. She definitely had at least one broken rib.

After the pain subsided Indrasena tilted her head from side to side, surveying the area. She realized that she was still in the same building she was in before. No one had moved her. The building seemed to be empty and Indrasena wanted to make sure it was, but the pain was too much. She just wanted to be consumed by darkness once again. Her wish was granted.

When Indrasena woke again her throat was dry and she felt light headed. The pain seemed even worse! She needed water. Indrasena attempted to sit up again with the same result. White dots danced in her vision and she struggled to stay conscious. She failed.

Indrasena woke again, feeling even weaker. She knew that if she didn't do something, she die there, all alone. A single tear trailed down her face.  Indrasena drifted in and out of consciousness, weak, with her eyes unfocused. Her eyes closed, but the pain kept her awake.

Indrasena became a bit more aware when there was a sound. She focused on it. A voice.

   "-ead? Is she alive?"

Something warm touched Indrasena's arm.

Another voice, closer to her replied, "I don't know. Let me check."

Indrasena heard the sound of footsteps approaching her.

"This is what we get for trusting that dirty Galalissian. What was his name? Archer? He told us this is where we could rescue her. He probably knew she was already dead! We're Onerali palace guards! How could we fall fo-"

He was cut off when his companion shouted,"She's breathing! She doesn't have long, but she's alive! Get some water!"

Indrasena heard the sound of footsteps retreating.

   "Archer! Archer helped me?"

Indrasena thought. Wait, did the man say water? There was very little she wanted more than water at that moment.

"Hang on, we'll help you!" came the reassuring voice of the man, who realized she was alive.

Indrasena's eyes fluttered open. The man leaning over her had the same dark hair and olive skin she did.

There was silence for a moment and then he continued in a quieter voice,"I know you're not really Onerali."

She stiffened.

"Don't worry. The prince knows too. He is a kind and fair man who wont treat you as an enemy, but as an innocent. The prince is willing to have mercy on you." He paused, "A noble couple that is dear to the prince is unable to have a child. You're an orphan right? You could be adopted by them. You'll be a real noble with a nice home to stay in!"
