“Wake up! Wake up!”

Someone was jumping up and down on the end of my sleeping bag. I was betting everything that it was Natalie.

“One more minute!” I groaned, pulling the blanket over my head.

“That’s like 2 hours in girl talk. Now get up! You gotta get ready!”

I sat up with my jaw open. “Nat! It’s…” I looked at the clock. “It’s freaking 10 AM in the morning!”

“I know! You have at least 9 more hours to get ready!”

Ugh this girl.

“Nat, it’ll take me just an hour to get ready now let me sleep again.”

“Nope.” She said and pulled the blanket off me.

I gave her a wtf face.

“My house, my rules.” She smirked. “And now the rule is, shopping starts at 11! Now go get your butt in the shower and we’re hitting the mall after. I already texted Alli.”

“Why did you text her?!”

“To come with us, duh!”

“But she’s going to get mobbed by paparrazzi! And us too!”

“No she won’t. This isn’t LA.”

“And why does she have to come anyway? She might be busy!”

“To help me silly. Do you know how hard it is for me to convince you to buy pretty dresses? And she agreed anyway”

“No, I am not wearing a dress tonight.” I said. Sharply.

“Yes you are.”

“En. Oh. NO”

“You are.”

“NAT!”

“Blaire, you’re wearing a dress tonight”

I groaned. There was no use to debating to this girl. And now that she has Alli on her side, it made it more impossible for me to get what I want.

“Fine, but at least let me pick it!”

“You need our opinion. Now, off to the bathroom you go while I help Mom prepare our super late breakfast!” she winked and left her room.

Yup, here I was. 9 hours away from a date with Cody. No, we didn’t expect everything that’s happening to us right now at all. Not at all. I never even expected to see Cody again.

All the confused and excited thoughts mixed in my brain as I stepped in the bathroom.

“She said she was by the café.” Natalie mumbled beside me.

I looked around for Alli and she was nowhere in sight.

“Maybe she decided not to go.” I said.

“She could’ve texted me or you.”

“Maybe there was emergency. You know how busy their life is.”

Natalie didn’t answer.

As we were walking, somebody bumped us. It felt like on purpose.

“Hey! Watch where you’re going” Natalie yelled.

The person was wearing a hat and shades but from the smile on the face…..

“Alli?” I said.

“I’m sorry I’m all covered up.” She giggled. “Helps the disguise, you know.”
