Superhero: Chapter Three.

I stood there frozen. I didn’t know what to say.

“Blaire?!” Natalie looked at me. “You know Co-“

“Shush it.” I snapped, interrupting her. I was looking at the floor this time.

No one seemed to say anything. I can feel Natalie breathing nervously beside me. I can sense Alli was still at the door, probably shocked. And I heard footsteps coming towards the door.

Cody.

I didn’t want to talk to him. Going here was a mistake. The feeling of missing him was the only thing that made me agree to go. Or maybe it was just Natalie’s persuasion.

I spun around, ready to walk away. “Natalie, let’s get out of here.”

Someone grabbed my wrist. I tugged on it.

“Come on Nat.” I yelled. “Let’s-“

“Blaire.” Natalie stepped in front of me. She wasn’t holding my arm. It was someone else. I turned around and Cody’s outstretched hand was wrapped on my wrist.

“Blaire.” He said softly. His eyes fixed on me.

“Wait what?” Natalie said, confused and shocked.

“Um, Nat do you mind waiting outside. Your Mom’s probably waiting for us. I’ll be out in a while.” I told her. My eyes said i-will-explain-everything-later and she nodded. Her eyes never leaving me and Cody. But then she turned around and went out.

I turned back to Cody. “What.”

“Blaire.” He said again.

“Yeah, last time I checked, that was my name. You don’t have to say it thrice.” I said.

“We haven’t seen each other for about what, 5 years?”

“That’s about it.” I replied.

“I didn’t know how to contact you.”

“You were busy, remember?” I told him. “I didn’t know how to reach you. I didn’t know your number. I can’t just try to trace you down. Especially because you’re an artist!”

“Woah.” Alli, who hasn’t said a word since she saw me.

I looked at her. “Hey Alli.”

“Blaire? Blaire Mont-“

“Yeah.” I gave her a smile.

“Oh my gosh!” she walked towards me and gave me a hug. “It’s been a long time!”

I giggled at her.

 “What brings you here?”

“Obviously me. It’s MY concert” Cody said.

I couldn’t say he wasn’t right. There was a feeling of me wanting to see him in a long time.

I didn’t respond to him tho. I didn’t want him to know.

“Well it’s a Saturday night so….” I trailed off. I didn’t know what else to say.

“Well whatever. Anyways, since you’re here, why don’t we hang out! Catch up! Oh my gosh it’s been so long! We can invite you to the afterparty.” Alli exclaimed.

“But my friend is wait-“

“We can invite her too! Come on. We’ll only be here for a week. And I’ve missed you so much!” she said and hugged me again. I laughed at her.
