As the Ex angel awoke with a start the first thing out of hi lips was a whimpered "Sam?"
No response

Mother fuck this was just like his nightmare, he was going to walk out of the bedroom and see Sam there, throat slit and Lucifer standing over his body.

No nonono he would not let that be true!

As he walked out of their room he softly called out "Sam? Hey Sam are you alright?"

Nothing

As Gabriel tried not to panic he didn't hear the voice call out "in the library" until the third time
"Sam?" He called again, now almost to the library when he was enveloped into a hug by Sam "I'm sorry I just needed to finish research on this thing and-"

"I'm glad you're not dead Sam"

"Uh. So am I? Wait did you have a nightmare?"

"Yeah I don't wanna go into details though"
Sam pecked the top of his head "alright love, let's go to bed for good now"

As they walked back to the bedroom Gabriel muttered "I'm sorry Sam, It was just.. The dream felt so real."

"It's ok Gabe I know how those feel I'm sorry for leaving"

The ex-Angel hook his head "no it's not your fault - I knew it was stupid"

"If it worried you then it wasn't that stupid"

"Just..." Gabriel sighed as Sam pulled him into bed "Just I dreamed your hallucinations were back and you decided to end them for good.."

"You dreamed- shit, Gabe I promise that if they come back I'll tell you okay? But i'll never do that. I have too much to live for"

"I said it was stupid"

"It's a fear based off of a possibility- I don't think it's stupid."

gabriel just shook his head "holy fuck I love you"
