"Twenty minutes for me to tell you everything."

He sits down on the bed next to me and I turn to him eagerly.

He doesn't look at me, but he lies with his back on the bed and his hand holding his head up and I sit beside him waiting patiently for him to begin.

Wow. He looks like a model.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone," I say, thinking he was afraid I would tell his secret.

He smiles at me and I freeze for a moment. "I know."

I wait a little longer, and I get a little impatient.

I hate waiting for things.

I look at my phone subtly.

2:07 p.m.

Should I say something?

No. Don't be rude self.

I'm saying something if he takes too long and doesn't start the story soon.

Why isn't he talking?

I thought we only had twenty minutes.

How long has it been?

I look at the time on my phone.

2:07 p.m.

"Luke."

I look at him again to find him laughing softly.

"Patience young Jedi."

I laugh. "What is that? Star Wars?"

He ignores me and finally begins his story.

"Dustin and I have known each other all our lives. Our parents were college friends so we spent a lot of time together as children. We've been partners in crime for basically as long as I can remember. We met Ian when we were six. He moved to our neighborhood and suddenly it was the three of us.

We were inseparable. We went everywhere together. We got in trouble together. We pulled pranks together. We played video games together. We looked at girls together. We even slept over at each others' houses just about every night even though we spent all day together.

When we started high school, we met Lexi.

She was gorgeous, conceited, and available. Only a week after school began, we heard she slept with a couple guys from the football team, and Dustin being Dustin invited her over to my house one day.

Ian had to leave early because his dad found out he was about to fail Algebra.

Lexi suggested we go upstairs, so we did. I turned on the TV but she started undressing, and we were boys so obviously we couldn't look away. She got on top of Dustin and started kissing him and I just sat there for a while before Lexi stopped and she looked at me.

She was like, "Come here."

And I did. And then she kissed me and I let her and one thing led to another and we both ended up sleeping with her.

It carried on like that for a while.

Neither of us told Ian because we knew he would think we were idiots. I thought we were both idiots.

Last year, when we were both juniors, she came over one night and I was with another girl. She got so mad like we were actually in a relationship. I thought she felt something for me. I didn't realize she was just being possessive. She didn't want me, but she didn't want me with anyone else.

I promised her I wouldn't do it again and I stopped hooking up with other girls.

As time went by, I realized I had slowly fallen for her.

Dustin noticed and he tried to get me to forget about her. He kept telling me she wouldn't feel the same way. He was like she's just a friend with a pair of boobs. Don't think about her as more.

I couldn't do it.

I fell in love.

I was convinced she felt the same and reality came crashing down on me when I went over to her house and I found her with Dustin.

I got so mad, I just attacked him. I mean, I knew how this whole messed up relationship started, but I thought she was mine.

At least, that's what she made me think.

She told me that we were just a hookup and we shouldn't take whatever it was seriously.

When Dustin's injuries healed, things got back to normal.

We still hung out like a regular group of friends, but I was very protective of her. I wouldn't let other guys hit on her in front of me. I convinced Dustin to stop being with her. I confessed to Ian what was going on.

Fast forward to senior year, we're driving to pick Lexi up for school and I see the most beautiful girl I've ever seen walking out of the house two doors down."

Despite everything I just heard, I blush.

"She doesn't give me the time of day but I figure I'll see her later.

On the way to school, Lexi's phone rings and she spends the rest of the car ride flirting with some guy on the phone. I got so upset.

Why would she do that, knowing how I feel?

When we get there I get out of the car and she tries to hold my hand. I pull away.

I see the girl from earlier, and I'm thinking-"

"No. Don't tell me," I interrupt. I hate knowing what people think about me.

He continues, "-that *ss."

I groan and cover my face with my hands.

"So," he draws on until I look at him again, "I walk up to her, completely forgetting about Lexi.

I'm trying to talk to her but Ian and Dustin are acting like two year olds.

She goes to some party and I have to save her from some *sshole she thought was her friend."

"What?"

He ignores me.

"Weeks later, here she is, in my bed, so I guess it all worked out."

I look at him smirking at me for a while.

"I guess it did."

A/N

I think this is my shortest chapter yet. Sorry about that! It's kind of a filler chapter. If that makes sense.

Random fact: My stats teacher decided to give us four tests this week. :)))))))))))

Aren't you happy you finally know what's going on with Luke, Dustin and Lexi now though?

So leave a comment, vote because you feel sorry for me, and add this story to your library so you know when I post more chapters!
