The silence of the ice (Jon snow fan-fic )

Chapter 44

Suddenly there was a loud scream ...

But it was coming from outside ,

Jon and I froze immediately and within seconds we were apart catching our breaths .

Jon ran to the opening and peered out carefully .
"Ghost " he commanded , "no" he ordered .
"Jon ?" I whispered and He held out his hand to quieten me .
"It's Lady Eithe and her lady maid " he said as he scurried past me and I gasped ,
"Wait here do not move " he warned and I nodded my head unable to speak , my heart was racing but this time out of fear .

I tidied up my appearance and waiting behind the stone pillar still catching my breath but I found myself smiling and I pressed the pads of my fingers to my lips , they were still swollen and I could still taste him .

I could hear low voices but after a moment they stopped , I wondered how  Jon explained his reasons for being here to Lady Eithe ,

Suddenly I could feel his presence beside me again and I smiled , i looped around the pillar and he met me at the other side , his eyes were a light and danced with anticipation .
I giggled quietly and bite my lip shyly , I turned the other way and looped around only to see him again , he chuckled softly and placed his hands on my cheeks pulling me close to him .

"This is crazy " he smirked , "I like crazy " I teased and he licked his bottom lip as his eyes scanned my face once more .

I was completely buzzing , I felt alive and liberated and I didn't care of the consequences .. I was here and now and I was on a high !

"That was very close , too close " he said as he edged his face closer to mine and he titled my head sideways and kissed my jaw line softly , I could feel him smile against my sensitive skin and a spine tingling sensation ripped through my body ,

"What did you tell her ?" I asked amongst the midst of it all ,
"I was here alone " he smiled against my neck and I giggled again wrapping my arms around his neck .

His hands moved down my back and he pulled me into him , he kissed me again but only for a second before he hugged me tightly , but this time something had changed .

He kissed the top of my head and sighed heavily ,

"Don't say it , I know " I whispered ,

He pulled back held my face softly in his hands and thats when I noticed the dejection in his eyes .

"If we lived as one in this world then we would be together " I whispered and his eyes crinkled up at the corners , " I know " he smiled and he kissed my lips gently ,
"I will always think of you " he smiled before he let me go .

I Took a sharp Intake of breath as he walked away and I closed my eyes bringing me back to where I was just a moment ago ,

I ran to opening concealing myself discreetly and i watched him leave with ghost by his side ,

He stopped short for a moment , his head low and i waited for him to turn around but I saw him shake his head , kick a rock from under his foot with force and he continued on again .

I felt sad ..

I walked across the hall with a light feet, My head still reeling from earlier when suddenly somebody grabbed me from the front ,
"Aramis " I gasped with fright ,
"Did I frighten you my Lady"  he chuckled and he pulled me into him to comfort me .
"My thoughts had me consumed there i didn't see you " I replied and as I lay my head against his chest I felt the sudden pang of guilt , but it wasn't because of what Had just happened a short time ago it was because I felt guilty about not feeling any remorse in what I had just done , I loved Jon though I had no guts to tell him one more time .. but I was also growing to love Aramis as a husband and not just a friend anymore
And That made it all far worse .
