" why did you kiss me?" That was the first thing she spoke without even looking at me.
Water dripping from her hair.
I stared at her for a while ,thinking about to say and found none.
" i don't know" i answered honestly.
She looked at me with an eyebrow raised.
" maybe i just want you to give me a chance" i spoke without even thinking.
For the first time in my life ,i was having a unplanned conversation.
" what chance?" She asked ,confused.
" that i can make you happy" i confessed.
All i knew was that i cant see her with any other guy.even the sight of jason flirting with her pissed me off ,when he wasnt even a threat.
But nathan,he was.he was making her happy,comfortable.i bet she likes her company !even the thought of that made me angry.
" do you even realise what you are  talking about?!" She asked amused .
" i do and i am serious .so stop looking at me with that smile ,like i am an idiot.i am done seeing you around nathan"
" you do realise that i met nathan few hours ago? " she spoke.
Yeah!just few hours and he is already hitting my nerves.
I remained silent.
" i can't" she said turning serious and stared at the ocean again.
Her voice was lost and her mind too.she clearly wasn't mentally here now.
" and why is that? I can make you more happy ,more happy than nathan does!" I said .
SHe looked at me again but with small sad smile.
" maybe you can,but i am just too messed up for you!" She said in a sad tone.
" then be my messed up girl" i argued.
I didn't knew what she meant by ' messed up' but i don't care .
" why are you being so persistent about this! Do you like me?" She asked.
Do i like her?
I thought for a moment before answering.
" no" i spoke honestly looking at her.I can't lie to her.i just wanted to make her happy.
That doesn't mean i like her.
Her lips curled in a smile.but her eyes were hurt.
Why was she smiling?
" then ,there it is.you don't  like me then there is no reason for you to make me happy. I am just alex's friend and its very great of you to give me a place to live.but I'll leave as soon as we go back" she patted my hand and stood up.
Did she just reject me?
I looked at her still trying to grasp  the fact that she just rejected me.
No one ever did! I was a hearthrob ever since i got into 5th standard! Girls begged for my attention and here she was walking away .

" eva!" I heard nathan calling out for her.He came jogging towards us.
Eva forced a smile while waving at her.i stood up,following her.
" why are you wet?" Nathan asked touching her hand to which she flinched.
" i went into the water." She lied hesitantly.
He removed his jacket and wrapped around her.
My anger flared.
" i will find out eventually who those guy were" i said loud enough for her to hear ,walking away from them.
I can't look at them.she rejected me! Steve Ethos Atreo! For some other guy!
"What guys?" Nathan asked confused.
" none of your business" i rudely answered.
I didn't turned to look at them .why should! So that their sight could stung me like hell!? No way that happening!

I saw the twins coming towards me.i like them .they are fun to be around .
" yo! Steve ! What happened to you!some Mermaid took you or what?!"
they said living each other high five.
" maybe!" I said catching zack by the back of his head to ruffle his hair.
Cody gave out a loud laugh.
Everything was fun after then.

Eva couldn't stop thinking about that happened at the beach.
She rolled on her bed ,adjusted her pillow for the hundredth time.
Why did you kiss him?!
The thought kept rumbling inside her mind.
There was no denying that she finds him attractive .she was attracted to him since the first time she saw him .
But whenever he opens his mouth ,she wished he never did. She was always provoked even at his slightest taunt.

She groaned at her pillow.
She went to the bathroom to clear her mind.
Everything about this place amazed her.a single  room was as big as a house .
She splashed the water on her face hoping to wipe 'Steve-concerned' thoughts.
She suddenly felt her legs going weak.An uneasy feeling taking over.
What is happening to me?
She thought looking at her reflection in the mirror.
And then it hit her.she instantly checked her panty and there it was .
A red spot!
She slapped her forehead,annoyed.
She went through her stuff ,looking for a tampon.
"Dammit where are you!"
She said grinding her teeth.
Her legs where giving up.
It pained like hell during period.she wonder why she was among those girl who has to suffer this torturing pain.
She fell on floor defeated by the pain.
She cuddled herself.closing her eyes trying to ignore the pain.
The memories came back streaming.
She remembered how her mother just told to bare the pain like all the other girls did.she used to cry her self to sleep due to the pain.
" don't think about it!" She said to herself and got up.
She needs to go to a grocery,NOW!!
But how?
She half dragged herself to the room next to her.
I am going of regret it.
She thought.
She knocked on the door lightly,not wanting to wake anyone else but the room owner.
Steve.
" Steve?" She said whispering.
Her feet were trembling by now.
" Steve are you awake?please opened the door!" She said in a pained voice.
Evea was clutching her stomach with one hand and thighs with another while leaning on the door frame.
When the door didn't open ,she though he was asleep.
As she was about to turn back to her room when the door open and revealed Shirtless steve.
He was looking at her with sleepy eyes but when he saw how her body was crouching ,he wrapped his arm around her ,supporting her
She leaned on his chest.he was warm.she needed something warm right now.
" are you alright?" He asked in a troubled tone.
" you need to take me to grocery ! Right now" she tried to emphasis on the words as much as she can so he doesn't waste time .
" but why! You are not well! I am calling doctor!" He started to panic.
" no! Just take me to a grocery please!" She pleaded in pain.
Steve couldn't figure out why she was so stubborn about going to a grocery at this time of the night.
But her condition scared him.
She looked like in pain.he wanted to help her out but she wasn't telling him anything which was annoying
" but why!" Steve argued.
" I am need a freaking tampon! You idiot!" She yelled at him.
Her cheeks burned red in embarrassment .She his her face to hid it.
Why does he have to be so stupid!
She thought.
Instead of making the situation more awkward ,Steve grabbed his car keys.
" you are staying her.I am getting you that stuff you need" steve said , hurriedly  but the last part ,hesitatingly.
" the blue one ." eva said falling on the bed and curling into a ball.

She didn't had the energy to argue anymore .the pain was growing ,becoming tormenting with each passing moment.
She kept on cursing ,steve for being so late ,when it wasn't  even more than 10 min from him to leave.

She grabbed the pillow clutching it ,punching it ,trying to get rid of the pain.
" I am back." Steve said barging through the door.
He lifted eva in bridal style and carried her to the bathroom.
." what do you think you are doing!?"
