Eva blinked twice as she looked at the chocolate basket in front of her.
She didn't find steve next to her when she woke up ,to her disappointment.
She never slept so peacefully ever before.she use to have nightmares about her past ,making her cry in the sleep .but last night was different ,she felt loved and cared for in his arms.she hugged the pillow they both shared last night ,inhaling his cologne.
Sexy as him!
She thought as she took a deep sniff.

She grabbed a Bourbon and peeled the wrapper ,taking a bite.
She closed her eyes as she tasted it. Her pain was gone ,thanks to Steve's warm hand.
Her eyes landed on a small note in between those chocolates.

I'll be back before you even know it.

She could sense him winking in the end line.

Before leaving she made sure that there was no stain on his bed and to her luck there was none.
She wasn't planning on throwing those chocolate wrappers .she collected them and hid them in her in her bag along with the note.
These will remind her of him when she'll leave him.
Her smile faded as she realised that the she had to move away from him.
She had to leave him.her heart felt a little crack. She never had someone who cared for her so much.
But she couldn't be with him ,she was too messed up! Broken.she decided to be alone all her life.
She couldn't afford to make someone else messed up too.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door revealing a maid .
" miss ,you are being called down for breakfast" she spoke without making an eye contact.
" I'll be there" eva said and went to change into a hipsters and a grey tank top with a white and black check shirt.
When she reached down ,she looked around the room for Steve but couldn't find him.
Where is he?
She thought.
" Eva!" She heard athena call out for her.
Athena wasn't alone,next stood a Victoria secret model.or atlesat she thought so.
She was breath taking beautiful.she flipped her beautiful hair revealing her flawless skin .
Eva could see her confidence shattering with every step that GI took at her.
" I want you to meet someone! This Julia,one of the bridesmaid. " Athena introduced her.
" and Julia,this is eva Steve's guest and Alex's best friend"
Eva smiled ,stretching her arm for a shake to which Julia ignored but changing the topic.
" where is Steve?" She spoke .
What the hell!
Eva thought. Julia was a typical blonde,mean girl you always find in high school .Eva never thought she would meet one here.
" eva ,where is he?" Athena asked to which julia eyed.
" why would she know?" Julia questioned.
" she just does" athena grinned.
Eva didn't know the look on her face but suddenly the big door opened and she saw him .
" there he is" eva said with a smile.
She noticed that there was something different about him.his hand were balled in a fist and his neck muscles were tight.his eyes weren't palyfull or serious or anything positive .
Is he angry? Angry about last night?
A sudden sadness struck her at the thought .
He was followed by his father who looked angry too.
She knew she wasn't the reason but something happened between him and his father.
When Steve looked at her ,she was about to smile at him but he shifted his gaze from her to Julia instantly.
She couldn't read the expression but Steve didn't looked very happy to see her here .
Everyone sat around the table,excpt for steve and his father who stood at the window arguing in a low voice.
athena and Adam right in front of her,Julia next to Athena and Nathan on her right.
" good morning beautiful" Nathan smiled and greeted her .
" good morning" eva smiled back.
"Did u slept well?" He asked leaning towards her.
Sleep....it was amazingly painful.
She thought.
" yes" she said .everyone around the table was chattering .
She saw Julia patting the empty seat next to her at Steve ,with a flirt smile.
Steve ignored that invitation and came to sit next to Eva which made everyone to stop what they were doing and look at them.
Steve was receiving death glares from his father but he didn't looked at him and got busy with the breakfast.
" does anybody have a problem?" Steve spoke in a serious tone while taking a bite from his pancake when everyone kept staring him .with that everyone got back to their work nervously.
" what the hell is this kid's problem!" his father yelled .
Eva noticed Steve's tensed body.she placed her hand on his under the table to calm him down.
"Shhhh..." She whispered only for him to hear.Steve turned to look at her and stared in her eyes .they were transparent as clear water.he recalled the touch of her skin from last night.
It was helping him to calm down.he never understood his dad's greed for more wealth.
I want her.....I want to be with her, not with Julia.
He thought .that moment he knew ,he wasnt making any mistake.
He liked the way her lips came out as pout ,making that sound .the one trying to clam her down like a baby.
He still wasnt sure about his feeling but he was sire that she was different and special
.she was fierce and caring both .she was perfect for him because he knew he needed her.
he gave her slight nod of assurance.

Everyone was talking to Julia except eva and steve.Nathan tried to bring her in the conversation but failed.Julia disliked her and it was no hidden fact .she wondered what she did to upset her.
"You should go and sit next to her" Eva said in a low voice leaning at him a little.
" meet me at the room after breakfast" he said ignoring her suggestion.
Eva looked at him for awhile ,trying to read his expression.
What are you thinking ?
Eva thought.
Eva was never good at reading people ,neither did she cared but she wanted to read him.

Athena and Jena left for the wedding avenue and eva was left with Jason. And her sister at home along with other people .
She was sitting near the pool side braiding lily' hair..lily was jaosn's little sister around 5 years old.
" can I see it??" Can I see it now??!" She said clasping her hand.
"Just a moment!" She said tieingthe hairband.
She reached for the mirror and showed lily.
Her eyes turned big and bright with happiness.
" I love it,Eva!! Its so pretty!! " she said jumping to hug her.
" I am glad you like me it!! I know many more.I can make it if you want?" Eva asked .she always loved braiding hair.at home it was her sister and in college it was Alex.
Lily nodded still with joyous eyes.
" I want you to braid my hair  on aunt Athena's wedding day! Can you please do that???" She pleaded.
Eva couldn't have asked for more.she was already going fond of the girls of this family.
but before she could open her mouth in approval a familiar angry voice interrupted her.
" I told you to come and meet me!" Eva closed her eyes and sighed heavily.
" oh ,hello uncle Steve!" Lily waved at him.
" sure I will!" She patted lily's head ,ignoring his statement.
" I  never said I would come" Eva said walking away with lily's hand in hand.
" oh Stevie you are here!I have been looking for you everywhere!" A annoying Julia spoke as she came out in her more-than needed-revealing bikini.
Eva heard Steve groaning in frustration.
Julia hooked on of her arm in his and other brushing his shoulder.
" can you just talk without touching me Julia!" he said unhooking his arm.
" Stevie!!" She complained in high pitched voice .
Steve glared at her nickname which made Julia swallow the lump in her throat  .she looked away from his face and turned to glare us when Eva and lily muffled our laugh .

Does he look like a man to be called with nicknames!stupid woman.

"what are you laughing at?!" she retorted, embarrassed. 

Eva rolled her eyes and walked away.she didn't wanted to be near him when she was their. Eva despised girls like her.she didn't liked Julia not only because of her bitchy attitude but also because Julia can be with him and she can't .she felt like a bone in the meal.she was just a tenant,who doesn't pay rent at his place.

"and where do you think you are going?!" suddenly she was turned with a jolt to face Steve.he felt his finger around his elbow ,his skin.somehow his touch made Eva's body fully conscious.his skin against her skin,his intense glare,she could mentally feel him close to him ...like there was no space between them.like there was no one else around...just them.
