Jake POV:

Ethan looked at me all wide eyed and weird, like I just killed someone. "Cassidy Smith?"

"Yes, is that so bad?"

"No, it's not. I just never thought you would like Cassidy. I mean, she's pretty, but I never thought out of everyone YOU would like her."

"Haha. If she goes to the football game tonight, I'll ask her out."

"Cmon. She's a girl. Girls don't like football."

"Not all girls are like that. I'm ending this conversation.

Cassidy POV:

I'm at Lauren Hudson's house, and she is crimping my hair. I'm going to wear eyeliner today, I usually just wear mascara, foundation, and lip gloss. But I'm adding eyeliner. I put on a necklace, hoop earrings, my makeup, after she finished with my hair. I'm wearing the same outfit. "Do I look okay?"

"OMG! You look perfect!!"

"Haha, thanks."

After we finished dolling me up, we headed out to the game.

THE GAME

Jake POV:

Omg. I didn't think she would actually make it. She did. Man, I look like shit. I don't even know if this girl likes me. I hope she does.

Cassidy POV:

Omg. He actually made it. Man, what if I look like shit to him? I don't even know if this boy likes me. I hope he does. "Cassidy! Hey!" I turned around to send Lauren with Jake (not like with with, he's just standing next to her). I walked over to her, scared that I might do something embarrassing in front of Jake.

"Cassidy. There is something Jake would like to ask you!!!!! Eek!!" Lauren always squeals. It gets annoying sometimes, but I can handle it. I was all tingly inside. I've never felt this way before.

"Umm, yes?" I asked. I can feel the butterflies flying everywhere in my stomach.

"I, umm. Would like to know umm," God. He's so cute when he's shy. "If you would, you know, liketogooutsometime???" He said the words so fast but I could understand it.

"Sure, sounds cool!" Oh, I thought I would make a scene, I'm thankful I didn't.
