PHIL’S POINT OF VIEW
The next day I woke up tired and sore. I was glad the nurse had said we could go back to our hotel after Dan was released this morning, sleeping on a chair is probably the least comfortable thing ever. But my mind didn’t stay long on the muscle cramps in my back when I thought of last night. Of Ava, I was going to see her again. But before I went to her room I had some things to do. Sitting up I went into the bathroom and washed my face, brushed my teeth, and changed my clothes. I was glad that the night before Chris had brought over some of our stuff from the hotel. That guy was a life saver. After I straightened my hair and put on my shoes I grabbed my bag. Dan was still asleep, it was only nine and I knew he would sleep for at least two or three more hours. I sent him a text anyways telling him I’d be back at noon.
I walked down to the cafeteria again, buying coffee and a bagel. I normally ate cereal, but I didn’t quit trust the American stuff, it looked way to sugary for my tastes. When I was fully caffeinated again I left the hospital and walked down the street. A couple blocks away was this place called radio shack. I had seen it on the trip down to the Arena the first day of the convention. I walked inside and pulled Ava’s rather destroyed phone from my book bag. I had taken it from her bed side table last night and I hoped she didn’t mind. I mean I was buying her a new one so I think she’ll be ok with it. A clerk came up to me and asked me if I needed any assistance. People in America were so nice, well that is the people who don’t want to blow you up. Anyways after showing him the phone and buying the replacement. I put Ava’s old chip in the new phone and turned it on. A picture of her and a blonde haired girl came up on the screen. I smiled Ava looked happy with this girl, she must be Cassie. I slid the bar on the screen and unlocked the phone and put my phone number in her address book, taking a picture of me making a stupid face so that when I called or texted it would show up.
Then with a grin on my face and my plans in action I walked back to the hospital and up to Ava’s room. When I asked the nurse on duty if I could visit Ava she nodded giving me a smile and showing me the way. I could never forget which room was hers but I thanked her anyways and opened the door and walked inside. Ava was lying in bed still asleep. Good I thought. I put the new phone on her bedside table replacing the old one and sat down in the chair by the bed.
Ava looked completely beautiful. I realized I liked watching her like this. God, I’m such a creeper sometimes. It’s just she looked so peaceful her hair sprayed out behind her head and her mouth in a slight smile. She was completely out, but every once in awhile she would move. I pulled out my phone and began answering messages on twitter and tumblr again, waiting for her to wake up. I didn’t mind waiting, and there was no way I was going to wake her up when I knew how she was going to need her sleep.
Playlist live was supposed to start back up this morning at ten. The police had gotten all the evidence they needed and clean up had already started. I knew that Ava was going to get a lot of attention from everyone there, not only from our fans but also from other curious attendees. Ava was probably going to have to make a statement so that they’d leave her alone and I hoped that she was willing to do something like that. Otherwise she would never get any peace and quiet. She was never going to be just another fan ever again.
I replied to several hundred messages and comments, trying not to laugh at some of my crazier fans.
“@amazingphil who is the mystery girl who saved you and @danisnotonfire? Who is she like lionwoman? Superllama? We want to meet her”
I tried not to laugh…and failed at the last message. I tried to imagine Ava in a super lion costume and then I full on lost it. Ava rolled in her sleep and I saw her green eyes.crap. I hadn’t meant to wake her.
