"Nick what are you so excited about??" Macey yelled at him from the kitchen. When I told him the little memory, he became so excited that he had yelled yes, picked me up and spun me around causing me to squeal really loudly.

"Can I tell her?" he asked, unsure of how I would feel. We entered the kitchen just as he had asked me that which resulted in an annoyed look from his mother.

"You can tell her."

"Tell me what?" she asked.

"She had a flashback. She remembered me." Macey's eyes widened in shock and happiness before she ran over and hugged me. Sadly she didn't know what had happened and I let out a little scream of pain.

"What happened?" she asked turning to Nick.

"What do you think?" he shot back.

"Take her upstairs to her room while I call to make her an appointment."

"Nick what's going on?"

"Mom is calling the doctor to see if they can get you in while you're staying with us."

"Why is she doing that?!?!"

"To make sure nothing is broken."

"How does she know what to do? How does she know what's going on? Does she know about Liz? What's going on Nick?" I ask him. I start to hyperventilate as I start to wonder what Liz will think if she finds out or what will happen to me if she finds out.

"Lark breath. I need you to take a deep breath okay?" I can only nod at this point since I can hardly breath and I'm leaning forward and my hands on my knees are the only things steadying me. Nick puts his arm around my shoulders and leads me upstairs to an extra room after I've calmed down. His phone starts ringing and after glancing down he gives me an apologetic look, kisses my forehead and stands up to go and answer his call. Just as he leaves my phone vibrates showing I have a new text.

Liz: don't do anything stupid the next few days. I'll text you before bed and make sure you don't anything to them or you'll regret it.

For being so abusive and mean all the time she does have some moments where she's the old Liz who used to actually care about me.

"Don't be messing with me man. It won't end well." I hear Nick say. I hadn't realized that the door had been left open a little bit, so I could hear Nick's side of the conversation easily. "I don't care what you say just stay away from her...You do anything and you'll regret it." With that said Nick walked back into the room to find me still sitting on the bed, staring at him.

"Care to explain what that was about?"

"Explain about what?"

"That phone call. I heard a little bit of it."

"I'll explain later. Right now we need to focus on you. Okay?"

"Okay." After hearing what he had said and not trusting me enough to tell me, I just couldn't bring myself to look at him and I could feel the tears coming.

"Lark? Please look at me."

"Why should I?" I reply while running my hand lightly over some bruises over my arm.

"Lark please. I can't stand the idea of you being upset when I just got my girlfriend back." My head snapped at him and my eyes widened at his words. I stood up and walked towards him.

"You have no one back. As far as I know, I just meet you and just had a random memory of someone that looks like you telling me that they love me and kissed me. To me you're still a stranger Nick." I shoot back harshly. I don't know where this anger is coming from but I have a bad feeling about it.

"You're not getting rid of me that easily Lark. I'll never stop trying to get you back, even if it kills me."

"Nick don-" Nick cuts me off by placing his lips on mine. Well it sure did shut me up and once I recovered from my shock I kissed him back. He pulled me closer and I wrapped my arms around his neck trying to hold him close to me. Soon we both broke apart to breath.

"You should get some sleep." Nick tells me. All I can do is nod since I'm still breathless. "I'll see you in a little bit okay?"

"Okay." He gave me a hug and a kiss on the forehead before he turned and left, leaving me alone. I soon decided that I should take a nap so I curled up on the bed and let sleep take over.

Dream:

"Nick run!"

"No I'm not leaving you!"

"Please go." I plead with him. "He'll kill you."

"I'm not leaving you. I love you Lark and I'm never letting go." A gun shot sounded resulting in me screaming and ducking with Nick on top of me, trying to protect me. "Chandler stop and think about what you're doing!"

"I am and I'm thinking of what's best for her! You never deserved her!" Chandler yelled while pointing his gun at us.

"Chandler please!" I yell at him.

"I'm sorry Larky."

"NO!!" I screamed while sitting up right. Nick barged in then and saw the state I was in and rushed over to the bed, wrapping his arms around me and whispering soothing things to me.

"It's okay Lark. It's okay. It was just a dream. I'm here."

"I-It wasn't a d-dream Ni-Nick. It w-was a me-memory."

"A memory? What of?"

"Us...and Chandler." Nick tensed up when he heard that name.

"What was it about?"

"He...he tried to shoot you but shot me instead. That actually happened didn't it?"

Nick stayed silent so I turned to face him and saw a distant look in his eyes as he stared at the wall. The dream felt so real that I thought I had actually felt the bullet pierce my body as I protected Nick from Chandler.

"Yes. It actually happened. The bullet hit your neck and the doctors almost didn't save you. I thought I lost you during the surgery and after you woke up after being in a coma for two weeks. Yesterday you gave me hope because you remembered."

"I don't remember Chandler. Is he still around? What does he look like?"

"Chandler never got sentenced because no one pressed charges. And I don't know if I should tell you."

"Why?"

"Because if you actually see him I don't know what would happen to you."

"Please just tell me."

"Fine." he sighed. "He goes to our school and is in our grade. He's about my height with black hair that's gotten to long, bluish gray eyes and kinda pale skin."

"Nick." I breathed. "I saw him...before I came here."

"What?!?! What did he say? What did he do?" Nick demanded.

"He told me to stay away from you."
