Chapter one: Climax of Life.

(Y/N P.O.V)

Soaring over top of the roof tops in my 3DMG that I stole from the military police a few years back, not that I need it. I discovered when I was a young girl I can control the flow of air, so I don't need to find the gas to power the equipment. I look over my right shoulder to my childhood friend that we adopted in to my family when she was 4, was following close behind me on her own 3DMG, we do have to retrieve gas for her gear but that didn't bother me. We have been friends since we were 6, I still don't consider her as my sister though. Not that I don't love her like one but I knew we weren't related. Now that we are 21, stealing was our life since we lost our parents when we were 8. Anything we need like clothes, food, or supplies etc. We stole it. We don't let anyone get in our way, it was kill or be kill in my eyes.

I landed on one of the roofs that over looked a market that sold everything we need. "(Y/n), What do we need tonight?" (B/f/n) giggled. I glances towards her with serious written all over my face.

"Pull it together (B/f/n), We need to plan this out carefully. We don't need the Mp's on our asses again like last night." I growled at her. She cringed at the tone in my voice but quickly shook it off and started shaking in excitement. I sighed and shook my head slowly, turning my gaze towards the sun that had begun to set over the wall. 'We are nothing but cattle, this isn't living... Only surviving. Barely...' I thought in my head bitterly. "We will set off after the sun goes down." I mumbled softly towards (B/f/n). She only nodded stiffly as her gaze never leaving the busy market down below.

-FlashBack-

I was playing with (B/f/n) around town all day, chasing each other around town playing 'Kill the Titan'. We were just being normal kids I guess. We finally noticed the street lights were turned on which meant we need to head home now, giggling with each other as we raced home together. We reached around the corner, noticing that the windows showed no light from with in the house. My pace slowed down to a unsure hobble as I reached the front door.

(B/f/n) stayed right behind me as I slowly opened the door, swinging it all the way letting out a loud creak from the rusted hinges. My (e/c) eyes widen quickly as I noticed the living room was trashed, with everything scattered on the floor. I glanced over my shoulder to (B/f/n) to see her shaking in fear. "It's okay." I whispered as I started to walkover to the kitchen slowly. The floor broads creaked under my feet with each step, my heart pounding in my tiny chest.

I reached the room to only see a trail of blood leading to the dinning room, my heart seems to stop as I enter the room. Two bodies were sprawled out on the floor, (B/f/n) let out a high pitch scream seeing my parents dead. Their eyes held no light in them, staring blankly at us. My mother had blood covering her white blouse, symbolizing her cause of death was from an injury to the chest. As for my father, he was slumped into the wall by my mother with blood poured down from his neck. I knew that the cause of his death was a slash of a knife to the throat. I stood frozen as my body felt numb, my world crashed right before my eyes. (B/f/n) run out of the house screaming for help as I just stood there with a blank stare, tears sliding down my rosy cheeks.

-Fast forward into flashback-

It's been two months after my parents passed away, I lock away all my emotions ever since the dreadful night. I never wanted to feel that way again, so I begun to become cold toward everything and everyone. (B/f/n) stayed by my side as she thought of me as an older sister. I did have a soft spot for her but I still acted cold. Being only 7 now it was pretty easy to steal from the booths from the local market. So this is how it all started, stealing to live. Never did I thought my life would turn out this way but this is what it had to be now. (B/f/n) and I, forever together. That's what we believed.

-Present time-

I sighed loudly as the sun fell behind the wall, covering the streets in darkness. It was time to act now. I glanced back at (B/f/n) and nodded my head to signal it was time, she understood and nodded back. I faced forward and closed my eyes, focusing on the air flow around me.

Snapping my eyes open as they changed to a bright gold colour, causing a gust of wind to rush through the market. The wind was strong enough to knock things off the booths causing a lot of commotion below. "She's here!" "She's back!" "Call the Military Police!" I flipped off the roof with (B/f/n) close behind, focusing on the wind to keep me in the air to find the items we would be needing for the night.

I swooped down into a booth and quickly scooped up fruits and vegetables into my arms, swinging away quickly with a smirk placed on my lips. I landed on the roofs once again, swooping off the backpack at place the food into the bag. I looked down for (B/f/n), searching for her through the ciaos below. I found her trying to use her gas in her 3DMG but there was none left, I watched her turn away as she started to bolt down an alleyway.

I heard a whizzing sound of wires echo through the night, I knew that the MP's were here. I clicked my tongue in my moth causing a 'Tch' to escape my lips as I jumped off the roof to get (B/f/n). I found her huddled behind a few trash cans, shaking in fear as she looked around quickly. I dropped down right beside her, covering her mouth with my hand so she would give away our position. "Shhh It's only me." I growled quietly into her ear, she stop squirming and turn around in my arms.

"(Y/N)?" She whispered towards me. I grabbed her by the front of her shirt and slammed her into the wall behind.

"Of course it's me, you idiot. Why didn't you tell me you were almost out of gas?! Now look what you caused? The Mp's are now are on our ass once again like last time. What's worse is now you are out of gas and you're just sitting here like a fucking stranded duck!" I yelled at her a bit too loudly. She squirmed around in my grip as tears welled up in her eyes.

"I-I'm S-Sorry." She hiccuped. I rolled my eyes and grabbed onto her, picking her up.

"Sorry isn't going to get us anywhere, and why are you so god damn heavy." I grumbled as I turned away to start to escape the maze of what you would call the alleyways. (B/y/n) looked over my shoulder as I felt her stiffen in my arms.

"(Y/n).. T-They..." She was cut off as I started to spin around but stopped as gun fire echoed through the dark alleyways. I felt two bullet hit me, one grazing my right side while the other in-lodged itself into my left shoulder. I fell forward with (B/y/n) in my arms, collapsing onto the floor with a yelp escaped from my throat.

I quickly look up to see if (B/y/n) was okay but to only be completely frozen from what I saw right before my eyes. Her eyes still held fear in them but they held no light. There was a bullet wound coming from her head, letting blood pour from her lifeless body. The feeling was back, after 15 years of living with no emotions to protect me. My world was crushed into dust, the only thing tying me to this world is gone.
