Chapter 4

Everyone's worried. Searching high and low for Danielle. I can't find her and I'm getting worried.

I walk through the palace courtyard, hoping to find her just hiding away in the trees. Maybe trying to get some alone time. Even though the courtyard has been searched five times. A sixth one search starting now.

Walking through the damp grass, I stop to see a dove hovering over my head. It flys down into my hands and I see that it is carrying a slip of paper between its talons.

I unwrap the ribbon from the paper and read it. It's from Danielle.

Dear Eric,
I'm in my room, but I can't move. It hurts my whole body to move and to speak. My door is locked so they can't get in. I can't write much, it hurts too much. Get help. I'm definitely not okay.

She's alive! Now to get help. I ran to the nearest guard I saw and told him that she was in her room. He thanked me for the new information and ran off to tell someone else.

I wrapped the letter back up and slipped into my pocket when I heard a groan. I turned my head to see a figure hanging from the bottom of a window about to fall. Danielle!

I sprinted towards the window, right as her fingers slipped and she came flying down. I ran even faster and put my arms out to catch her.

I caught her like I was holding a sleeping baby and rushed her to the castle's infirmary.

Ok I just realized that I had this finished and just didn't publish it😂. Does anyone else have absolutely no snow❄️? Ok well I might change my schedule to every other week if I can't keep up with my current one.👍 Also I might change the point of views (pov's) in this book and you can tell if it is someone different if it says there name at the top like this: [Eric]. Ok that's it for now! Bye👍
