Tiffany's POV

I am still in the library after the meeting. I wasn't tired. Not to mention that I found out that my father was one of the staff members who stuck their necks out for us.

I didn't want to let them down. I would find out who cheated on the test. I was studying the library card intensely. Thinking about the timeline of who had the book.

I sit back in my chair as a wave a exhaustion flows over me, causing me to yawn.

"You should probably get going." Eli encourages. I shake my head.

"I just can't, I need to find out who did this." I explain. We hear the door open and see Ms.Ross and Mr.Barrett come in arm and arm. They don't seem to notice us because they are talking and laughing.

"Same time tomorrow?" He asks. Ms.Ross nods.

"Can't wait!" She confirms before giving him an awkward kiss on the cheek. He gives her a coy grin while her eyes widen. He leaves, leaving her staring after him. "Come on Emily. What the hell was that?" She mutters under her breath. She turns and sees us, her cheeks burning a bright red.

"Come on Emily, just tell the guy you like him." Eli teases. Emily shakes her head.

"That enough out of you Sarah." Emily jokingly scolds before stopping. We notice a tear in her eye.

"Okay Emily, you have to tell me, who is Sarah?" Eli pleads. Emily begins to cry. I am fully alert now. We both walk over to Emily and embrace her. "Emily, please tell me?" Eli repeats. Emily sits down and takes a deep breath.

"I am 29 years old." Emily starts. We both nod. "I met my husband, Robert, when I was 21. We were in love. We were happy. We got married when I was 23. We had a daughter, Sarah, not long afterwards." She begins to choke up.

"Emily, if you don't want to finish, we'd understand." I assure her. She shakes her head.

"No, I'm fine. One day, when Sarah was four, Robert and I took her to an amusement park. I remember it so well because it started out as one of the best days of my life." She continues. I feel tears forming in n my eyes. "Sarah won a stuffed monkey. She dropped the monkey while we were in the parking lot. Robert and I didn't notice, because we were too busy talking about my pregnancy. I wasn't paying attention so Sarah got out of my grip and ran to get the monkey." She clasps her hands over her face. Eli holds Emily to comfort her.

"We know Emily, we know." Eli assures her. I always saw the librarian as this tough, intelligent woman. Now, I saw as a woman who was broken after the loss of her daughter.

"Wait, Emily. You said Robert was your husband. What happened to him?" I ask. Emily nods.

"Robert ran after her. He thought she was trying to go back to the amusement park. He called, 'Sarah, baby, get back. No going back.' Neither of them saw the car ." Emily finishes. My jaw drops in shock. I had no idea. Emily pulls up a picture of her daughter Sarah. I gasp, she looks a lot like Eli. Eli looks at the picture in sadness.

"I'm sorry Emily. I had no idea." Eli whispers. Emily pulls up another picture. One of a red haired boy about a year and a half old.

"That's my son. Sarah's brother. I named him Robert O'Hare Jr. After Robert died I changed my name back to Ross. Just because it hurt too much." We stay there until Ms.McMahon tells us to leave. I'm going to bed tonight with a whole lot to think about.

Two Weeks Later

Paige's POV

I am standing in the back of the class. It has been a long couple of weeks. We've had three meetings so far but have gotten little to no leads. We would need a lead soon if we were to clear our names.
