Scarlett's POV

The little group of ours that we put together had made some progress since we started our investigation two months ago, but the case had pretty much turned cold.

We knew that the culprit was a woman, that she had been in possession of the book, and that she would have been in the bathroom a while giving the cheat sheet a good lock over. That had narrowed it down a bit, the suspects we had now were AJ, Eva, Sasha, Tiffany, Sierra, Paige, and Brie.

Narrowing it down to seven suspects was a great accomplishment, but now it was March. There is only two months left of school. The clock was ticking to come up with results.

Pretty much all of the second half of this year had been dedicated to cracking this case. I was just desperate to find out who did this. I feel a hand rest itself on my shoulder. I look up and see Finn. I smile and place my hand over his.

"Hey handsome." I greet. He places his hands over his heart.

"You mean it?" He asks. I pretend to take a closer look at him.

"No." I answer, he frowns in response. I shrug. "You're more beautiful." I tease. He growls and picks me up in his large arms. I laugh as he spins me around.

"How many beautiful people could do that?" He asks. I narrow my eyes to think.

"An old friend of mine, Tyler, man I wonder what he's up to." I remember. He drops me and I land on my feet. I look up and see anger on his face.

"Then why don't you give him a call?" Finn asks. I scoff as I get up and dust myself off.

"What's wrong with you?" I challenge. He shakes his head.

"I just want to know what we are, because right now I have no idea." He admits. I look down in sadness and guilt. He was right. I had no idea either.

I mean, I did like Finn, sometimes, I would just start thinking about him, no matter where I was.

"Are you even listening to me?" Finn's voice snaps me back to reality. I walk over to him and place my hand on his cheek. My father is the epitome of taking risks, I was ready to take a risk with Finn.

"Finn I'm sorry, it's just, I have no idea what we are either. I mean, one day, I think we're best friends. Another, I just want to kiss you." I explain. Finn's blue eyes meet mine. He moves a strand of hair from my face. I smile and bite my lips.

We move slowly towards one another until finally, the gap between our lips is no more and our lips melt together. I feel an explosion all throughout my body.

He grabs my face and deepens the kiss. We finally separate after what feels like an eternity, though I'm sure it was in reality, only a few seconds.

"Finally!" I hear Tiffany's voice. I look and see the group of girls looking at me with their arms crossed. They all pull a twenty out of their purses and hand it to Sierra.

"Damn it, did you guys bet on this too?" I ask. Sierra nods.

"Let's keep betting on stuff. I'm really good at it." Sierra suggests. Renee shrugs.

"Who cheated?" Renee asks. Sierra begins to count the money and scoffs.

"That's easy, it was Eva." Sierra guesses. We all look to her in surprise. "What? I trust her the least." Sierra admits. I sigh.

"I trust her." I tell her. I look and see Finn looks uncomfortable. "Now leave, Finn and I want to hang out." I order. They leave and I smile as Finn and I kiss again.

Tiffany's POV

I enter my father's classroom and take a seat my father sit's at his desk reading a newspaper. I'm not even sure if he saw me enter his room. I merely sit patiently while twirling my thumbs around one another. I open my mouth to speak.
