Kirstie's POV
When I reached the doorway of the school, I was not expecting to see Mitch already standing there typing away on his phone.

"Hey loser," I said slyly as I stood in front of him sassily, making him look up from his phone.

"Hey idiot," he said back with a smirk, "you ready to go?" He asked. I nodded and followed him out to his car. I had never been to Mitch's house before, especially considering that I had basically met him a month before. This was exciting for me. And I had no idea why. When we reached his house, I wasn't quite expecting to be in such a nice neighbourhood. My neighbourhood wasn't even that nice. My neighbourhood didn't have nice people, and big houses. But Mitch's did. His house looked the nicest on the block and it stood out. I liked that about it. As we walked to the front door, he took out his key and unlocked the door.

"I know you're surprised," he said knowingly, smirking at me, "everyone always does that because they look at me and think I'm trash." I scoffed.

"I never thought that of you. It's just that I'm not used to this environment, my neighbourhood is pretty beaten up," I said awkwardly, grasping my arm lightly. Mitch nodded and walked into the kitchen.

"Don't be embarrassed. Anyways what do you want to eat? We have gushers, Oreos, cheez its," he then looked up from the pantry. I shrugged.

"I'm a teenager. Being a teenager means I'll eat anything so you choose for me." He sighed and muttered different snacks to himself.

"Here's some gushers and an apple to balance it out," he said chucking food at me. Thank goodness for that little part of me that is athletic otherwise I would've been hit in the head with an apple had I not catch it. "Let's go to my room to get started on the project. My mom will probably bombard you with questions if we stay in the living room," he said with a light chuckle. I couldn't help but laugh as well.

"Understandable," I stated. We then went upstairs to his room. I sat down on the floor as he shut the door behind him.

"Okay so I have the rubric up for the project and apparently we have to watch a short video so let's watch it," I shuffled over to where he sat on the floor and made sure to keep a little distance between us. I didn't want to look greedy or weird. By the end of the video when I zone out of it, I noticed he had his arm around me and I had my head on his shoulder. How? He didn't seem to question it but he sure as hell noticed it.

"Sorry," I muttered as a blush crawled onto my cheeks making them go bright red. He grinned at me before shaking his head and opening up a power point document.

"Okay let's do this," he said to himself before we started working away at the project, hard. By the end of the project all I wanted to do was kiss Mitch. He wouldn't stop flirting with me. As I got up he let out one more flirt.

"Well I better get going," I said as I headed towards the door. He got up and followed me and made it so our bodies were close together.

"You're not leaving until you let me take you on a date," I shook my head.

"I kind of have a boyfriend so-" I was then cut off by a pair of lips touching mine hungrily. I heard a thud as I hit the door with my body leaning against it. Why are you doing this to Avi? Stop it Kirstie. You told him you would change. Those thoughts were soon drowned out though, leaving me helpless. God Mitch is so hot. And he's a good kisser. Why can't he be mine? Mitch then moved down to my neck, kissing it gently, making me moan.

"We have to stop Mitch," I said. He finally got off of me with nothing but a sly smirk.

"You enjoyed that Maldonado," he said with a low voice, "I know you did," I shook my head seriously.

"I have to stop this Mitch. I've done enough to Avi." He nodded and I watched his smirk fall.

"It was worth a shot. Have a nice night Kirst!" He said abruptly as he pulled me out of his room and down to the doorway.

"Mitch let me explain-" I was then cut off again... Only this time not by kissing.

"Kirstie its fine really. I get it. I'm a worthless nobody and you only like kissing me. So go enjoy your life. And if you need me, I'll be in corner of the room," he then pushed me out and slammed the door. I stood there shocked. What the hell just happened? I then realized I had no ride home. I sighed and called my mom hoping this day would just end.

______

"Morning Kirst!" Avi said cheerfully, giving me a kiss. I smiled and hugged him.

"Morning Avi!" He smiled at me and put an arm around my shoulder.

"How was your hang out session with your friend?" He asked ever so casually, but I knew he was looking for answers. I just shrugged.

"We did our power point. What else was there to know?" I giggled. Avi shrugged.

"Hey Mitch!" Avi said looking down the hall. I gulped as I heard the name and looked down, avoiding eye contact with the figure in front of me. "What did you do last night?" I heard Mitch sigh and I felt my chest tighten.

"Oh I did homework with a friend. A really good friend too. But then they just got up and left. How stupid of them," I heard Avi laugh.

"Really you had a little study date too? Kirstie over here did very fun things at her study date with her friend last night as well," I heard Mitch curse under his breath. I knew Avi was being sarcastic but I couldn't help but tense up thinking about it.

"Yeah she told me. And they did have a lot of fun," Mitch said before walking off to class. Avi turned to me angrily.

"What the hell was that?" He yelled, "what's up with Mitch?" I gulped. Time to do some damage.
