Mitch's POV
Being with Jeremy's clique is like being in heaven. You get whatever you want, when you want it. I haven't seen my ugly old friends since the day after prom, and I'm very happy about that.

"Hey Mitch we're all going swimming at the country club tonight so meet me at our usual spot," I nodded and smiled, "try and bring a cute lady with you," he said with a wide smile.

"Sounds fun I'll see you then," I said before we did our handshake. I then walked happily to class. When I got into the classroom, I scanned the room for good looking girls that accompanied me to be honest I only looked at the girls in my group, but none of them appealed to me. I sighed and walked up to my first choice. I sat down next to a dark haired girl and tapped her shoulder.

"Oh hey Mitch," Bethany said with a smile, "What's up?" I couldn't help but smile back. She was one of the nicer, less slutty girls in our group.

"Well you know we're going to the country club tonight right?" I started. She nodded her head, "well I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me to it," her smiled grew and she nodded.

"I would love to," she then kissed my cheek and turned to face the front. I suddenly felt someone staring at me. I turned go find Kirstie staring at me. I glared and her and she immediately looked away, pained. That's what she gets for saying shit about me. School then seemed to drag on forever.

*after school*
I walked quickly to the front doors with my backpack slung on one shoulder. I smiled when I saw Jeremy's face. We did our handshake and both chuckled.

"Did you get a hot date?" Jeremy asked with a smirk. I nodded and smirked back. "Who?" He asked.

"Bethany," Jeremy smiled and nodded, "I know right she's pretty hot," I said proud of myself, "where is your date?" I asked curiously.

"Oh my date is meeting us there," he said pointing to the limo, "the whole squad is waiting. We're just going to drop by each persons house so they can quickly pick up their swimsuits," I nodded and walked out to the limo with Jeremy. We then drove to everyone's house and immediately, and quickly, headed to the country club. When we got there everybody cheered. Here we go.

Kirstie's POV
"I don't understand," I said to Jeremy confused, "why are you inviting me to one of your fancy events when you know I don't fit in with any of those people?" Jeremy smiled lightly.

"Come on you fit in with Mitch," I gasped and hit his arm hard. He grabbed it in pain.

"I fit in with the old Mitch. Not the Mitch you clearly hypnotized. He would never dye his hair brown unless he was very much convinced," I said angrily.

"Whatever he'll be there I want you to be there with me because I made it pretty clear on prom night I still like you a lot," he said coming close to me. I pushed him away and sighed in defeat.

"Fine I'll go, but I'm not going anywhere near you so don't touch me," I said sternly. Jeremy smirked, "and don't smirk. You took away very important things from me, how do you expect me to like being around you?" He rolled his eyes but didn't answer. I scoffed and walked away. This better be good.

Mitch's POV
As we arrive at the country club I notice a familiar girl standing at the entrance. She turned and I gasped. Jeremy brought her here? Shit.

"Come on Mitch lets go!" Jeremy whined. I rolled my eyes and got out, paying absolutely no attention to Kirstie. I just put my head down, I had no intentions in making eyes contact with anyone. I continued to keep my head down as we made our way to the pool, only to put it up when Jeremy's voice called my name.

"Come help me get some drinks for everyone," hopefully he didn't mean alcohol. When I arrived at the bar Jeremy had a bunch of cokes in front of him. Phew. I took a few and followed him back to everyone.

"Mitch you hand out to the girls I'll hand out to the guys," I nodded. I then passed around drinks. I handed a Coke to a few girls until I made my way to Kirstie. I looked at her and silently handed her the Coke. She mutter thank you and I nodded. I just couldn't speak to her anymore. Finally I was done handing out drinks and I could finally have my drink. Jeremy then lead Kirstie out for a bit. I then got up feeling like something was going on. I followed them closely and I made no sudden sounds. He then turned a corner and I went and hid in the bushes.

"I'm really glad you're here," he said smugly. Kirstie rolled her eyes.

"I'm not though," she stated, "you just brought me along so you could show me how much better off Mitch is now," I pouted.

"Maybe that is true. But he is so gullible he'll believe anything. That's why he's here," Kirstie and I looked at him confused.

"What? What are you talking about?" She asked confused. Jeremy chuckled.

"That little meany ex boyfriend of yours actually believed me when I told him you didn't really like him. He turned on you in half a heart beat. So come be my girlfriend, I'm not gullible like that bastard," Kirstie scoffed.

"Mitch is still in there, the same Mitch I know is standing right over there," she stated, "you think you're winning? The only thing you're actually doing is losing," she said. Jeremy chuckled and smiled.

"Mitch is now on my side. He always will be. He believes anything he hears Kirstie. You can't beat me." Kirstie nodded.

"Fine, but you'll never know what you got yourself into until you realize that Mitch is still on my side," and that was that. Kirstie walked away leaving me speechless. But a part of her also left me back where I needed to be. I then got up and headed back to the pool. I spotted Jeremy and walked up to him.

"Hey where did you go?" I asked. Jeremy shrugged.

"I just went to get myself some drinks and Kirstie was totally gossiping about you," he said with a shook of his head, "I swear she said some nasty things about you," I scoffed.

"That can't be true. That's impossible," I stated causing eyes to turn. Jeremy looked at me shocked. "I haven't seen her in months how could she possibly know that kind of stuff," Jeremy shrugged. I rolled my eyes and pretended to look at my phone. "Well I got to go now, I'll see you tomorrow," I said disappointed. I then walked towards the front entrance and found my mom and her car sitting there. I got into the car and we drove off. Tomorrow I will show Jeremy why he shouldn't mess with me.
