The radiance of the sun greeted Joey with a calming feeling. However the heat on the other hand made even his sweat want to fly south for the winter. The summer heat was nothing short of noticeable. The LA warmth was not welcome in Joey's opinion. The sky was clear of clouds and the roads were filled with cars, some windows down, some up, honking and tooting each other in short temper from the heat. Joey was beginning to feel a little flustered like the other drivers; his car was situated in the middle of LA traffic. He was driving to a café for lunch with his friend Cat, it was time they should catch up.
Traffic moved ever so slowly, boredom was creeping upon Joey as he could feel his forehead beaded with sweat droplets. Out he whipped his vlogging camera, because what else better to do was there?
"Ah good day everyone! So as you can see I am stuck in fricking LA traffic!" Joey began his introduction. "So I am on my way to see Cat for lunch, we are catching up because as you know it is only three days before Vid Con!" Joey exclaimed in a funny voice. Joey had been anticipating for Vid Con this year. Although he knew it would be like every other year, he just felt excited. His fan base had grown on Youtube by a lot from the previous year, he always had this unpredictable anticipation to meet his fans, or as he so fondly refers to them as his 'psychopaths.'
"Finally traffic is picking up! I shall see you all soon, shall we? We shall!" Joey quickly shut off his vlogging camera and placed it gently on the passenger seat beside him.
The sun flickered on the window of the cars as he got closer to his destination. Passing the majority of the traffic, Joey was almost at the café Cat had suggested. Soon enough his feet were walking into a little retro café decorated with little succulents, bright paint and funky mirrors. Joey walked through the funky little café out to a back porch to find a beaming Cat resting on a black metal cushioned chair.
"Hey Joey! It's good to see you! How was the drive over?"
Joey replied running his fingers through his hair "It's great to see you too! Urgh the drive was horrendous, the traffic felt never ending."
"Man that's a bummer!"
"Yeah, nice place by the way,"
"Aw thanks, I came here with my Mom once, the food is really good. Shall we sit?"
"Certainly," Joey and Cat sat and conversed with each other about their lives and Vid Con. Joey vlogged a little once their food arrived and left the camera off to eat their lunch.
Joey had ordered steamed vegetables with a grilled chicken and cat has ordered a summer soup. The heat seemed a little less confronting for they were shaded by an overhanging tree; it was a nice day to have lunch with a friend. 'It's quite a pretty cool café, I should come here more often,' Joey thought to himself while taking another bite of his chicken.
A few more people began to fill out the porch at the surrounding tables. A tall man with brown styled hair and deep brown eyes passed Cat's and Joey's table. He left Joey's eyes to linger after him as he sat at a table on the other side of the porch. Cat could tell what Joey was thinking as she observed his lingering eyes.
"Careful you'll burn a hole through his chest if stare long enough" Cat joked.
"Wha-What? Sorry, just in my own world" Joey shook his head and looked back down at his plate.
"When are you going to tell your audience? I mean of course it's something you need to do in your own time, but you've been in such a, how do I put it? A wondering state lately"
"I know, I'm just not ready for the ridicule of the world" Joey's eyes didn't leave his plate.
"I know, I just want you to be happy Joey, there's nothing wrong with being ga-"
