Joey sat on an outdoor chair watching all the beautiful sights around him. In the depths of his imagination it never occurred to him this is where me might be, where he is meant to be. The sun radiated blissfully, causing his skin to tingle. LA always had a knack for making sure it’s warm and toasty. Which is a reason why Joey could never have convinced himself to leave, even Daniel who sometimes yearned for quiet spaces, enjoys the city life too much to let go. So, they never have and for a long time probably never will.Daniel walks out managing to balance some plates filled with snacks and a couple of glasses of iced tea. Joey’s eyes light up with joy, as they always have done every time they see him. Daniel sits in the spare chair next to Joey after placing everything down on a small table with Joey’s help.
“You never cease to impress Danny.”
“I thought that was my job,” Daniel winked, “always impressing you.”
Joey blushed, even after so long together, Daniel still knows how to make him blush like it’s their first date again.
“You could just sit there, and you’d impress me,” Joey replied.
Daniel froze, staring out into space, “how am I doing?”
“You’re an idiot.”
“Yeah, but your idiot.” Joey simply smiled as his response and picked up his glass to take a sip.
Joey and Daniel sat in silence for a while, enjoying each other’s company. They watched the clouds float by gently and the sun twinkle behind them. Its bee season, so they also listened for the gentle buzz coming from their flower garden. This was something they liked to frequently do, enjoy each other’s company in the warmth of the sun.
After a long while, once they had finished their food and drinks, they cleaned up the plates and glasses together then decided to stay inside. Joey gazed around his house appreciating it, he didn’t know what came over him, but he felt like it was the perfect moment to take in everything they have, everything they worked hard for together. As Joey admired and appreciated what was in front of him, Daniel came behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist, placing his chin on Joey’s shoulder. Daniel did the same as Joey, looking around but also looking at him. The person he will spend the rest of his life with. Daniel inhaled deeply taking in Joey’s sweet scent. A fire, a burning passion lit in Daniel’s stomach, roaring.
“Want to go upstairs?” he whispered in Joey’s ear seductively.
Joey didn’t need to be asked twice to start moving, guiding Daniel along with him.

Daniel nudged Joey who rested his head on Daniel’s chest, drawing circles on his abdominal with his finger. “Come on we should get up and tidy up.”
“I don’t wanna’,” Joey pouted.
“Are you forgetting who we get to see today?”
Joey sat up slightly and looked at Daniel, smiling. He didn’t forget, it was just rare he got to spend lots of time alone with him. Joey passionately kissed Daniel, taking in every inch of him. They pulled back simultaneously and smiled gingerly. With one last peck they both got up and began to tidy the room, packing things away, putting things into the wash basket and making the bed. They also tidied a bit downstairs too. Wiping the kitchen benches and tidying the cushions on the couch. Daniel also quickly vacuumed the rug in the lounge room while Joey fished out some of the leaves from the pool.
Soon enough the door opened and the sound of many feet and paws came bounding through the door. Hope grinned as she placed some bags by the door.
“Dad and Daddy!”
