"H-Harvey, I need to talk to you. I-it's with Hayes." I sniffled into the phone.
"What did he do? What's wrong?" Harvey sounded scared.
"He beat up his best friend because he kissed me." I said
"Wait! Was it Daniel! Daniel Skye?" She asked shocked.
"Yeah. And now I'm locked in my room crying because they won't talk to me anymore after what happened." I said a tear running down my cheek.
"Well you don't know that. Hayes can't hold grudges and he ends up giving in, it'll pass don't worry." Her words were assuring
"Yeah, hopefully. Where are you living now?" I asked.
"Oh I live in San Diego. It's really cool here but I miss all you guys back home." She said.
"No way!! I used to live there! Oh my gosh!" I was literally freaking out.
"Really! That's not weird!" She laughed.
"What school are you going to?" I said smiling.
"I'm going to Southport. It's a very ghetto school." She laughed.
"No way! I used to go there!" I laughed in shock.
"You need to come here one day! We are on Winter Break." She said.
"What if I came tomorrow." I need to get out of this house, it's too much. I'm getting to stressed out. They won't know that I'm gone.
"Are your parents okay with that?" She asked.
"Yeah, totally! I gotta go pack! I'll text you when I'm on my way!" I almost hung up the phone until,
"Wait! When you get to the airport, once you get to security, ask for Melanie Sims. When you get her, she'll help you through everything and she'll make sure that you safely get on the plane. And don't you need a ticket?" She asked.
"Nope, my mom bought a free plane ride anywhere when we moved to North Carolina so I'm actually good." I laughed.
"Okay, I'll see you in like five hours." She chuckled.
"Okay! See ya!" I hung up the phone with excitement. How am I going to get there? Can you walk to an airport? My flights in 5 hours so I can't walk. I can call a cab. Yeah, I'll call a cab.
After my thought process I started packing. I packed one suit case that is pretty large in size. I packed for five days, which is how long I'm staying. Then I tip toed downstairs to the Griers library where I found a phone book. I grabbed it and ran upstairs. I looked for the Yellow Cab Services which is the only cab business in this part of North Carolina. I dialed the number and put my phone up to my ear.
"This is the Yellow Cab Service, how can we help you."
"I'll need a cab going to the nearest airport tonight at 10:00." I said biting my nails.
"Okay, we're going to send a cab at your neighborhood gates, what's your neighborhoods name?"
"Davidson Estates." I said.
"Okay great, and last thing, would you like a female driver?"
"Please." I said
"Okay, the cab will be there in about ten to fifteen minutes."
"Okay great, thank you!" And I hung up the phone.
I waited in my room for about ten minuets and then my phone buzzed.
Unknown: Your yellow cab is here.
I jumped up and swiftly but quietly shuffled down the stairs. Everyone was asleep and Nash was playing on his Xbox. I made it to the front door opened it and then turned back around to lock it.
"Bye." I whispered as I started to walk towards the neighborhood gates where my journey would begin.
