I wake up in my bed, not in Hayes', and I was alone. My alarm clock was going off. It was all a dream, everything. I took a second and pulled myself together. What happened? The dream felt so real. I got up and got ready for school. I said goodbye and I was on my way to school. I walked through the big gates. Here we go I thought to myself.
"Sadie!" I turned around to see Hayes. My eyes started feeling hot because of the tears that formed in my eyes. Ugh, Sadie, pull yourself together, why are you crying?
"H-hey." I tried to say.
"So I was-" I cut him off with a painful cry. I fell to the ground with a sharp pain in my side.
"S-Sadie!" Hayes dropped to my side. I lifted up my shirt. What the hell? I asked myself. There was cuts. I couldn't remember what happened last night. The pains went up my side and the cuts throbbed in pain.
"Sadie, stay with me you'll be alright. It's okay. Someone got get the principle or the nurse!" Hayes panicked not knowing what to do. I started to feel dizzy and I was coming in and out of consciousness. The last thing I saw was a herd of students crowding over me and a crying Hayes with bloody hands. Then I was out cold.

"She is going to be alright ma'am." A deep voice said.
"A-are you sure? Wh-what happened to her?" A female voice asked.
"We still don't know." The deep voice explained. And with that I heard footsteps out of the room and a door closing. I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't, it felt as if they were sealed closed. Then the door opened.
"S-Sadie." It was Hayes. I tried to speak but nothing would come out. I then felt him grab my hand tightly and hold it up to his head. Then my eyes fluttered open. I looked to my right to see Hayes smiling down at me.
"Hey buddy." He said beaming.
"H-hey." I weakly smiled.
"How do you feel?" He asked with a sorrowful look on his face.
"Eh." I chuckled as he laughed.
"Do you know how you got those cuts? Do you remember anything?" Hayes asked curiously.
I simply shook me head no.
"You'll remember." He smiled.
"Where's my parents?" I asked.
"Your mom left to go to another meeting and your dad left for work just about an hour ago." He smiled weakly.
Then the door opened slightly and man with brown hair and blue eyes stepped in. He wore and army suit. It was my brother.
"Hey there Sadie." He smiled sitting down at the edge of the bed.
"Hi I'm Peter, Sadie's brother." He introduced himself to Hayes.
"Nice to meet you Peter, I'm Hayes." He shook his hand.
"Hi Peter." I smiled.
"Hey bud. Hows it going." He smiled.
"Well I am in a hospital bed with cuts that I have no idea how I got them. Life's great." I said sarcastically.
We all laughed.

It's been a week since I got out of the the hospital and we still don't know where I got those deep cuts from. All the doctor said was it looks like it was cause by something small, and thick being shoved into my side. We searched the house but we couldn't find anything. Also, the thing that scared me most was the doctor said that I had a trace of alcohol in my blood. I'm fourteen I don't drink. The wounds have scabbed over and are almost healed. Peter has been helping out a lot since he decided to stay home for a while before going back again. It feels good having someone around when I come home from school. I don't feel as alone. I also got to meet Hayes' girlfriend Harvey. She's really nice and I've been walking to school with them every morning. Hayes walks back with me and he usually stays over at my house until dinner. Peter has approved of him which I'm relieved about. Today is Saturday and I'm going shopping with Harvey and I'm really excited. My mom dropped me off at the mall and I waited outside.
"Sadie!" I hear my name. I turn to see Harvey running down the sidewalk toward me.
"Hey! Harv!" I smile a toothy smile.
"You ready for the biggest shopping experience in your life?" She laughed.
"Well, I am quite the shopper." I laugh.
"Ok, let's go!" She grabbed my hand and dragged me into the huge mall.

"Bye Harv!" I scream from the sidewalk.
"Bye!" She waves with all of her bags flailing around.
We shopped for six hours. We hit every store, makeup shop, and fragrance store in the whole place. We also got the food court really frequently. I have at least six big bags hanging from my arms.
"Saaaaaaadie!" I turn to see Skylenn running down the sidewalk with her wispy blonde hair flapping about.
"Hey sky!" I laugh and pick her up in my bag filled arms. Then I saw Hayes walking down the sidewalk along with Nash and Cam. I literally screamed, not even.
"Lemme help you out. Did Harv take you ultimate shopping?" Hayes laughed grabbing two bags off my arms.
"Yeah, but I had a lot of fun." I laughed.
"Looks like it." A deep voice laughs.
I look up to see Nash and Cameron.
"Do you need help?" Nash laughed.
"Oh-uh, s-sure." I gave a bag to Nash and one to Cameron.
"You okay?" Nash asked as I stared at him like an idiot.
"Oh- y-yeah I'm swell." Who the hell says ''swell" anymore? Wow Sadie, wow.
"I like your choice of vocabulary." Cameron laughs.
"We should start heading home, do you wanna come over Sadie?" Hayes asks.
"Uh, yeah sure." And with that we walked to the Grier's house.
