The next day I woke up with a huge grin. You know those days when you just wake up and there's no groaning and fighting sleep? The days when you feel like anything is possible ,like solving world hunger or finishing Algebra 2 in one piece. Today was one of those days. My hair was working with me, my minimal amount of makeup was looking exceptional, and I had 5 texts from Lucas telling me that he loved me and couldn't wait to see me. Things were bound to go wrong ,but I wasn't gonna think about it.
After I got ready I went downstairs and started searching for breakfast. As I was reaching up in the cabinet to get a pop tart, a huge muscular body came up behind me. That would've been fine and dandy if there had been a muscular body living in my house. When I had been getting my pop tart I had had to stand on my tip toes so when this human giant came up behind he had scared me so bad I fell. Now, I know what you are thinking. Any decent human being would've reached down and helped me up or at least would've had the decency to look surprised at my sudden act of clumsiness.
But apparently this giant had never heard of manners. Because as soon as I fell he started laughing. As soon as I heard his laugh I recognized it. Tyler. Great. I knew this day was to good to be true.
"What's up little sis?" Tyler asked trying his best to look innocent but that little devil couldn't convince me for even a second.
"What are you doing here, Tyler?" I asked trying my best not to sound as hostile as I felt.
"Why little sis here I thought you would be opening your arms wide to welcome me home after a long separation! I know that I missed you!" He said.
The jerk face.
"You didn't answer my question, Tyler. What are you doing here?" I asked again gritting my teeth.
He looked at me for a few seconds and then said. " Oh, I'm just gonna be staying here for a bit." And as if that wasn't enough, "Also, Dad sends his love." and with that he turned and walked out the door.
Why hadn't mom told me about this? I think it would've been a very useful piece of information.
This was turning out to be a very interesting week.

Even though I had a very eventful morning I decided to not let it affect my good mood. Yes, I planned on confronting my mother after school. Yes, I was probably going to be asked many questions about why Tyler was back. The ramifications of this new development were astronomical ,but the only thing I was going to think about was Lucas and how I was on my way to see him.
As I walked into the school Lizzie tackled me.
" Is it true?? Is Tyler back? If so for how long? Also why is he back? A.." She asked breathlessly.
So much for me seeing Lucas first.
"Lizzie, breath. Yes, Tyler is back and I don't know for how long nor do I know why. All I know is that he nearly gave me a heart attack this morning. My mom didn't tell me that he was even coming in the first place. Now I am going to go see Lucas I will talk to you in a bit." I replied
Lizzie just stood there. I think she was still in shock that Tyler was here to comment on my wanting to find Lucas. I used that to my advantage and sneaked away.
I looked for Lucas without really looking. I mean I was definitely looking ,but I couldn't look for him. The girl can't seek the guy out first. It's like a golden rule among women.
I walked to my locker ,sneaking glances, but still not seeing him. I couldn't help the sudden disappointment. Just as I was starting to give up hope and ditching the golden rule I heard a voice. And not just any voice.
"Hey beautiful." a deep voice said from behind me.
Best day ever.
