Thirty minutes have passed and I still am in my room, with the door locked. I have heard some footsteps and chatter downstairs. I just didn't wanna deal with anyone right now. I only wanted to talk to Dylan because he wasn't judging me. He was half dead, half asleep.

I heard people talking and laughing. The noise began to faint and then I heard the door slam. I knew everyone probably was done unpacking and went down to the beach. I opened my door quietly and headed downstairs to see if anybody was home. No one was, so I ran down to the fridge and got out a Dr. Pepper. I opened it and ran back up to my room.

Of course, when I was running, I tripped on the stair and ran into the table right above the stairs. A glass vase fell and the glass spilled everywhere, including a few pieces in my leg. No one was home, so what the hell was I gonna do. My leg was gushing blood and the glass was still spilled everywhere. Mom and Dad weren't up at the beach house yet and everyone else walked two miles down to the beach.

There was no way in hell I was gonna walk down to the beach and I wasn't just gonna sit there and watch my leg bleed all over the place. I grabbed the car keys and drove to the hospital. It was only my luck that the glass would fall. The hospital was only a five minute drive, so I got there fast.

"Excuse me, can you help me? A glass vase fell and some pieces got in my leg."

"Oh honey, sit down in this room and we'll have the doctor come in immediately." I smiled and thanked her. "Do you have any family here or anyone to call?" I shook my head and she sighed. "Well how'd you get here?"

"I drove myself. My friends are at our house, but they went down to the beach two miles away, so I left and tried to get here fast."

"Alright, well do you want us to call them in case you can't drive yourself back?"

"No, it's okay. The cuts are on my left leg anyway, so I won't need it to drive. Thanks anyways."

"Ok, but this might take a while. From the looks of it, you'll probably need stitches and the doctor will have to look and see if there are any more pieces in your skin. X-rays might be possible too, but I'm not sure. Let's get the doctor in here and he'll have a look. Ok?"

"Ok, sounds good." I sat on the table and waited for the doctor to come in. I hope it wasn't anything to bad, meanwhile all my friends are back at the beach having a blast.
