So, like I promised, I updated after yesterday's post. Something short, but hope you like it.

Spencer texted Dylan.

To Dylan:  Hey, we're here.

To Spencer: Alright, be out soon.

I was up front, but quickly moved to the backseat. Everyone in my family, including all our friends had a rule that if you were older, you go to sit in the front, but the younger ones had to sit in the back (which means whenever someone older than me comes with us, besides the driver, I'm stuck in the back). There's no switching off from who gets shotgun. It's simple. If you're younger and someone older than you can take the shotgun seat, they get it. I buckled my seatbelt and waited for Dylan to come out.

It seemed like it took him forever to come, so I checked all my social media accounts on my phone. I looked up when I saw a tall, cute guy wearing khakis, these old Adidas shoes and an old t-shirt. Obviously, it was Dylan. I smiled when we locked eyes. He winked at me, without Spencer noticing and jumped in the passenger seat.

"Hey Spenc. Sorry it took so long."

"You're good dude."

He peered his head around the seat and looked at me. "Hey Bridget."

"Hey Dyl, what's up?"

"Not much, but we miss you at the beach. How's your foot?"

"I mean, it's better, but I guess you'll have to take me back up here in two weeks, when the stitches come out, so I can beat your ass at surfing." I smirked.

"Fine, I guess I will. But don't get your hopes up sweetie, no one can beat me."

"Conceded much Dyl?"

He turned his head and smirked back.

Every time, that smirk gets me. I turned away because I was blushing really badly and there was no way I was gone let him see that. He turned away, still keeping the smirk, knowing I had lost the "competition." Apparently, whoever outlasts the other one in a verbal battle or a smirking battle is the winner. He won.

We got to the restaurant and got seated. We were right by the window. I had to use the restroom, so I went as soon as we got seated and told them to order me a lemonade if the waiter comes.

Dylan and Spencer started talking while I was away. I have no clue what about, but I remember turning around and seeing them talk as soon as I left.

"Spenc, I need your advice..."

"Is it involving my sister?"

"How'd you know?"

"Cause both of you like each other, it's obvious, but it literally hurts me to see you guys deny it. Can you just ask her out already man?"

"You're sure she likes me too? This is so frustrating. I feel like I'm in a middle school relationship all over again. With your sister, were so close, it's weird to think of us as a couple. This thing has just got me screwed up. She's not like the other girls, and I know that's corny to say, but she always has me second guessing myself and I like that about her, but that's why it's so hard to admit I like her. She different, but it's a good different."

"Look, I'll give you my advice. Just be straight forward with her and go for it. As soon as you can, just ask her. Even I'm getting annoyed by you two."

"Fine, but if she says no, I'm blaming you because you told me to,ask her."

I walked back to the table and it was silent. I just let it go and ordered my food. After lunch was over, we headed home. Everyone was now back home, taking a break from the beach. I said hi to everyone, but went straight up to my room. I was so tired and just felt like taking a nap. I shut the door and fell asleep so fast.

I peered my eyes open and saw Dylan walk in. He had a glass of water in his hand. I sat up and had a confused look on my face.

"I thought you'd want some water, so I brought some."

"Good one O'Brien. Why'd you really come up here?"

"Honestly, I just needed some quiet time away from everyone, but I also wanted to see you." I smiled. Sometimes this boy just makes me so happy, but other times I question him, A LOT!

He set the water down and sat at my bedside. He just sat there and waited. I knew what he wanted. I finally gave in and patted the other side of my bed. I moved the pillow and he laid on top of the covers. I turned my head and got comfortable.

"Sleep tight Bridget."

"You too Dyl." I shut my eyes and fell asleep for another hour or so.

Hopefully I'll have another chapter up again!
