I'm back! I'll keep it short, but I've been thinking about how to write this chapter and I found the perfect way to write it, so hope you like it!! 💠💠💠

Only one more day till my weekend with Dylan. Only one more day. ONLY ONE. ONE!

As far as I'm concerned, were still on. I talked to him about it a couple of days ago. Since he asked me, we've been hanging out a lot and it's been great. We went to the movie theatre the other night (and no we didn't make out, we actually watched.) Then, he took me to this old fashioned, family friendly amusement park. We went on the Ferris Wheel and there wasn't any making out, but I got another kiss on the check. (As usual, nothing new)

By the way, what up with that? I mean he's only given me 100 kisses on the check and 0 on the lips. Sounds cliché, but I don't care. Whatever, were not even "together" so I can't complain.

Ok, but back to what I was saying. He also took me out to lunch one day. He picked me up from school and I ditched sixth to have a longer lunch. When he pulled up, a lot of my friends had to say hi. They all know Dylan. He's a legend. Him and my brother. They're a year older than me, so when he pulled up the car became crowded and everyone stuck their head through the window.

(FLASHBACK)

The car drove up and stopped at the main doors. He texted me to tell me he was here and I guess I must've said it to my friend, Leah and she loves Dylan.

"Dylan's here?" She screamed it and everyone went out front.

"Hey Dyl... Dylan, what's up bro? Long time no see... Dylan, my man..." Everyone loved him.

"Hey, so what are you doing back here, at school? Why would you even bother coming back?"

He smiled and looked at me standing in the back of the crowded group of people.

"Im actually taking someone out to lunch." He winked at me and every one turned around and looked at me. Oh shit.

"Bridget? You're going with Dylan?"

"Don't act so surprised, I mean he is my brother's best friend. And it's only lunch. I'll be back by seventh."

He looked at me and turned up the radio. "Ready?"

"Yep!" We drove away waving to all the kids staying behind.

(BACK TO REALITY)

Now that I look back on it, it was a little awkward. All my friends love Dylan and my brother, but they've never pictured me being with Dylan, or even being friends with him. I guess Dylan and my brother are too cool for me. Please note the sarcasm.

Anyways, I'm freaking out over the vacation. I don't know what to expect. I don't know if were going as friends or something else, ugh I'm just overthinking it. I guess I'll go to the mall or go get some food to kill time and get my mind off this whole thing.

I went to Chipotle, obviously, and got the usual. I came back home and just watched Friends on Netflix the rest of the night. I had to wake up early to pack and get ready. We're leaving around lunch. I went to bed early that way I could just sleep and get closer to the weekend. What a great way to kill time. I shut my eyes and fell asleep within no time.

Today is the day. It's currently 8:30 in the morning and I don't know what to do first. Pack, eat breakfast, shower, it's all so complicated. I start to get out of bed when I get a text from Dylan.

From Dylan: Hey Bridget, change of plans. Meet me at the Starbucks on 14th street in 20. Don't worry about bringing your stuff! Can't wait to see you.

Well this is just great. A change of plans where I don't need to worry about packing and bringing my stuff. What could that mean? Oh, maybe that were not going anymore. I really hope we still go.

I pull myself together and get out of bed. I pull my hair back and put on some leggings with and old t-shit and my converse. I put some makeup on, brush my teeth, and grab my keys. I rush to the car and get there with five minutes left to spare.

Dylan pulls up two minutes later and walks over to me. We hug and order real quick. I just wanna know what's going on. After we get our drinks, we sit at a table in the corner and he begins to explain the whole "change of plans."

"So, Bridget, I asked you to come here today because I have some great news." A smile spread across his face.

"Yeah Dyl, what's up?"

"Well, today I just found out I got offered a job, an acting job."

"Are you serious? Dylan that's great!" I gave him a quick hug and he kept talking.

"I'm super excited. It's for a show called Teen Wolf and it's gonna be on MTV. It sounds kinda cheesy, but I got the script and it actually looks good."

"Well no matter what, Ill for sure watch only because you're in it. I'm so happy for you!"

"Thanks, but now here's the part that sucks."

I stayed quiet and waited for him to tell me that bad news. He said he wanted to tell me good news. Apparently not.

"Anyways, we shoot in Atlanta. So I'm gonna be gone a lot. And, they want me to go down there right now to meet the rest of the cast, which means our special weekend getaway without all the other kids will have to be postponed. I hope you understand." He reached for my hands, trying to make me feel better.

"Ah, yeah, I understand. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Go make it big in Hollywood Dylan."

"I'll still be around, just not as much. I'm so sorry. I wish the show still shot here instead of in Atlanta."

We got up from the table and started heading outside. His flight left in three hours.

"Listen Bridget, you mean so much to me and I really wish there was something I could do to make this all work out."

"No, I know it's not you're fault Dylan and nothing will change between us, it just sucks knowing you won't be here when I need you everyday."

"I wish I was here everyday, but I can still visit and you can always come to Atlanta. I know I sound crazy, but I-I really like you. I've always wanted us to be something more than friends. And when we finally start heading in that direction, it get's ruined. But I don't want it to be ruined. I'm crazy about you Bridget. I'm gonna miss you." He reached for my hands and we got closer inch by inch.

Tears started forming in my eyes, but I knew that this wasn't it. "I'm gonna miss you too O'Brien, so much."

"So, let's just say see ya later. We don't have to say goodbye. I'll be back in a week to get situated and pack up all my stuff. We can see each other then, right?"

"But then you're gonna have to leave after that."

"I know, but don't focus on that. I'll still be around." I smiled and he wiped the tear falling from my eye. "Look, I like you Bridget and I know you feel the same way."

"I do feel the same way and everything just seems to unwrap right as you are about to leave, shocker. I just am gonna miss you and that goofy smile." He hugged me tight and when he let go, we looked at each other straight in the eyes.

"See ya later O'Brien."

"See ya later Bridget."

He leaned in close and his eyes closed. His hands were shaking and two seconds later his lips were sealed to mine. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around his torso.

We finally kissed. Finally. It was the sweetest kiss too. It was simple, but meaningful. His lips were soft and his hands were shaking on my back. We leaned back and he opened his eyes and looked into mine. He let go of my back and walked towards his car.

He got in the driver's seat and right as he pulled out of the parking lot he looked at me and said, "Now I can't wait till I come back." He winked and drove off. See ya in a week Dylan.
