Fifty Four

"I want to see my parents now," Demi stated looking up at Joe still having her little girl laid in her arms. Joe nodded his head gently getting up leaving the room Demi watching until she couldn't see him no longer. "What do you think baby girl, do you think mommy should have been so soft with daddy?" She sighed admiring the girl, she was just so small and innocent but one of the reasons why she was keeping Joe in her life. They had a little girl together. Demi only looked up from Amelia when she heard the door open cracking a small smile when she saw familiar faces. She always remembered what her parents looked like, they hadn't changed but had aged a little bit over the seven years. They both gave her a smile as they sat down with her.

"How are you feeling princess?" Eddie questioned kissing her head.

"Overwhelmed," Demi admitted letting the tears roll down her cheeks which Dianna wiped away. She was beyond happy that everything was working out well. "I um forgave Joe, I can't brake us off if I knew about this the whole time can I? That's just cruel."

"You can do whatever you want Demi but if you really do love him don't stop those feelings and just try and work past any problems you have." Dianna advised.

"I guess so, he was just a little surprised I forgave him," Demi mumbled."But I'm glad I can see again, I can be a real mom now to my daughter." She leaned down kissing Amelia's head.

"We're happy you could have it done, you can see everything now." Eddie boasted.

"And Jace can retire and be a normal dog, it's just better for everyone that I had this done. My eyes are sore but it's worth it when I can see little Amelia." She grinned.

Joe entered the room not long later with a cup of water for Demi setting it down on the table next to her lifting Amelia from her setting her back down in the car seat so she could sleep peacefully, she stirred a little bit but remained asleep. She smiled when Demi pated the spot next to her sitting down next to her kissing the side of her head.

"When can you go home?" Eddie questioned Demi shrugging her shoulders.

"I don't know but I can't wait to go, so I can see Jace." Demi answered leaning her head on Joe's shoulder, her feelings hadn't changed for him. Seeing him just made her fall in love with him all over again. Joe knew he was lucky that she had forgiven him, he just hoped that things could go back to the way they were. No more lies between them.

"Please tell me Amelia's last name is Jonas and not Jones." Everyone laughed.

"Relax, I told the midwife to put it as Jonas," Demi assured him grabbing his hand. "She isn't all over the news and in magazines is she?"

"No I haven't taken her out much and if I had there was a blanket over the car seat. I'm going to see about getting a court order so nobody can share pictures of her in the media but family and close friends." Joe explained.

"I think that sounds good, I don't want her being all over the media," Demi admitted starting to play with his hands. Joe smiled as did Eddie and Dianna, they were happy for the couple in front of them. They were perfect together and had the perfect daughter together. Joe and Demi saw their relationship far if not all the way. "I can't get over how beautiful she is." Amelia was at the end of the bed facing them in her car seat as she slept.

"Have you watched the videos?" Eddie questioned Demi nodding her head.

"I don't know if I liked the birth ones but the scan ones were perfect, I'll be watching them over and over again." Demi admitted her eyes slowly drooping closed.

"Go to sleep." Joe whispered in her ear Demi smiling slightly before falling asleep against him. Joe smiled too kissing her hair.

"Do you want us to take Amelia so she can get some rest?" Joe nodded his head handing them his car keys so they could get the stroller from his car and take Amelia for a walk.
