Seventy Eight

About a month had passed by since Joe woke up from his coma and everything was going well, he had remembered a bunch of memories but he still couldn't remember who people were and that's the one thing that he did want to remember so he could get back to his life as much as he could. The press and fans have been curious but they had kept their distance like requested but a couple of fans have approached him which he was glad for, he thought it helped him out with that side of his life a little bit. He just wanted everything to go back to normal.

"Hey," Joe greeted as Demi entered the room after knocking, she smiled leaning down kissing him gently before falling down on the bed next to him Joe marking his book putting it on the side. He kissed the side of her head as he rolled on his side so he was now facing her Demi doing the same. "Where's Amelia?"

"She's at Stephen's house playing with Mavi." Demi answered leaning her head on his chest, Joe freed one of his arms wrapping them both around her Demi smiling.

"I remembered something else last night but I still don't remember people." Joe admitted feeling Demi kiss his chest lightly as it was all he could get to.

"That's good Joe, just take your time. It will come eventually." Demi assured him enjoying the feeling of his strong arms around her, she was glad she didn't have to wait too long for this again. They laid there in silence a bit both deep in thought hearing Denise and Paul leave to go shopping, Nick and Kevin were in their own places still working on solo projects. Joe was the one who broke the silence between the two of them.

"Demi have you had your period this month?" Joe questioned Demi pulling away from him looking at his face a little confused on the question.

"Yeah why do you want to know?" Demi answered adding in her own question. Joe sighed of relief slightly kissing her lips before pulling away.

"The condom I wore was old so I thought maybe it might have broke or something," Joe admitted. "It's not that I don't want another baby it's just at this time it's not suitable."

"I know what you mean Joe, don't worry about it," Demi assured him kissing him this time. "We'll have another baby one day but when your better and we're both ready."

"Sounds good to me." Demi giggled laying her head down on his chest again Joe embracing her as he took in her scent. He smiled when he heard soft snores coming from just below him not long later, he let her sleep as he ran his fingers through her hair.

Demi woke up a couple of hours later smiling when she saw Joe sleeping peacefully next to her. His fingers were still in her hair his own hair messy and a little bit of drool escaping from his mouth, Demi wasn't grossed out, she leaned up taking his fingers out of her hair his am falling back down by his side then wiping away the drool.

"Demi!" Joe whined Demi giggling kissing his lips gently before pulling away.

"Go back to sleep." She whispered seeing him settling down.

"I love you." He mumbled Demi smiling kissing him again before her head was laid back down on his chest able to hear the soft beating of his heart.

"I love you too Joe." Demi answered feeling him settle down completely before he was asleep again. She remained awake but traced circles on his chest, it didn't bother him, if anything it settled him down more able to feel the soft touch of the woman he loved. She smiled content with everything that was happening even if Joe didn't have his memory back, he wasn't letting that keep his love for her. She couldn't describe how much she loved the man sleeping by her side. Her mind wondered to Amelia who was amazing, she still found it hard to believe that her and Joe created her four years ago. Her eyes made their way down to her stomach where he hand laid. She hoped Joe would be around for more than just four days of their baby's life.

But she was nervous for his reaction.
